Mid Space Collision

"Ok, see you soon.." Jay turned to Alota and Phil, "Permission to
launch a rescue?"
"Granted.."
"cool" with that Jay sat at one of the many swivel chairs
surrounding the control room of the Green November and continued his
poker game with Amber and Kara.
Everyone watched Jay for a few minutes, before Eve asked "Jay..the
rescue?!"
"I know!" said Jay "You heard him he say's he's got two hours!"
"JAY!"
"What's the rush?!" Jay said.
Eve turned to Phil and Alota, and dumbfounded by Jay's seeming lack
of concern for his friend could'nt get any words out, just a series
of gasps and hand waving.
"Look!" said Jay "He's on a trajectory bringing him this way, the
longer I leave it, the closer he gets to us, the shorter the
distance I need to travel and therefore the more fuel I conserve"
"SO?!" Eve said, "Someone's life is at stake!"
"He won't lose life support for 2 hours!..ok.1 hour 57 minutes, but
have you seen the fuel inventory for the fleet? We're in a bad way,
gotta save it where I can!"
"but.."
"BESIDES!" said Jay "I know something you guys don't.."
"Whats that"

External cameras showed the E.V.E1 had just collided with the ships
hull and Zodar was scrabbling along the stern section toward the
airlock.
"I'll go get him in a sec..." Jay said.
