Not wanting to speak in front of Cannon, the three of them entered White Wolf's office.
Phil was the first to speak while Jay stood at the door, staring through the window with arms folded.
"We dont have any real reason not to trust him.." Phil said "He's undergone extensive psychiatric medication, and before holographic revival the Corp. always run a full check on the subject to make sure they're safe to be revived."
White Wolf nodded, and looked up at Chrysler "You look troubled"
Jay turned and leant against the wall, "I don't trust him..."
"Why?" asked Phil and White Wolf together.
"Because Kara and I spoke directly with Quinn, the Ulysee's AI and there was no mention of any FTL experiments, not only that, but I've heard nothing about *any*  FTL experiments going ahead since my brother's test flight 6 years ago, after he went missing they called of the entire project."
"Doesn't mean they havent started them up again"
"True, but Quinn still never mentioned it, ok, so it may have been classified, but its not the kind of thing they'd use a warship for, we have science vessels for that kinda thing"
"Ok.." said the hamster "I'm not gonna start accusing him of anything until i have proof of anything, but I want him kept an eye on"
Jay and Phil nodded and ehaded for the door
 "Oh.captain.." Jay said "We'll be arriving at the Hymenoptera homeworld in less that 8 hours,  were ready to scramble"

I'm all past that." Says Cannon jovially, as he taps his forehead with his right index finger, "The JMC psychiatric division put the ole Noggin through some really intense anger managment programming, when they re-activated me back on Risa. I've completely come to terms with theatbit about the Gelf's slaying my wife & family. And since you were only acting in the best interests of the Blue Dwarf & the Space core while I was topped out, I don't blame you one bit for what you did Seymour. The psychiatric's back on risa told me, I was out of my head - and I didn't know what I was doing at the time. You were right, Niples. I shouldn't have done what I did then, and I hope you all can forgive me."Seymour was simply at a loss for words."Alright, I'll have accept what you say is true for now - But you still need to tell us what the smeg you were doing down there on Tattooed Ian, Cannon." cuts in the Huge hamster."Oh, I can explain that. For obivious reasons, the psychiatrists on Risa thought it would be best not to reassign me to the Blue Dwarf, so the JMC posted me to the Ulysees where my vast captains experience could best put to use on the JMC's latest FTL drive research project, using a experimental temporal statis field generator. The plan was for the Ulysees to create a static temporal bubble around the ship to offset the effects of relativity, while it proceeded to FTL speeds.  Unfortunately, our first trial run ended in utter disaster... Everything seemed to have got accelerated in time instead. The Ulysees crew rapidly aged to thier deaths in mere seconds, and since I'm a hologram I wasn't affected as quickly. And in order to escape the effects of the field, I activated my automatic distress beacon and vented myself from the nearest airlock towards Tattooed Ian. Luckily, my hardlight system was able to withstand the heat of re-entry, though the landingh impact did put me mostly out of commission." "Hmmm..."
