Tara sat on the top most ledge in the Observation Dome, looking out
into space. Her thoughts wern't on the 'zero g' golf outside, but on
the events of the past few years.
'It's been ages. But i'm still hung up over him. I met Phil but all
along inside I was still thinking about Charles.' She swung her legs
over the side and looked at the drop below her. 'It would be so easy
to just drop off the edge. Last time I thought like that Dr Meadows
came along and gave me that ECT thing. Wiped it all from my memory
and made up some mumbo jumbo about a mistake in my exam marks. Should
have realize before now the only place i'd get work was amongst a
bunch of retards. I thought i was the only one here with nothing
wrong, when i'm more screwed up than Harris was. What's keeping me
from jumping right now?' She asked herself. 'It would be so easy to
just drop off the edge.' There was a dull thunk and a golf ball
bounced off the glass of the Dome followed by Amber and Rufus. Tara
smiled at her kids.
"I could never leave you." She said quietly reaching her hand out to
the glass. There was a noise on the stairs behind her.
