*Actionette* Unwelcome discovery

Who:- Kara McGellen, Jay Chrysler

"This is Lt Cmdr Chrysler of JMC Blue Dwarf calling the SCV Ulysees..Come in Ulysees"
Jay was more than disappointed to recieve static as a response.
"What the hell do you suppose the problem is?" He asked Kara, without looking up from his console.
"..Hard to say..." Kara replied "But its weird...the ship.looks like its been here for years. look...the exhaust vent.has corroded.."
"How is that possible?  It takes decades for exhaust plasma to rust through the stuff they build these things from, the Ulysees is only 5 years out of space dock!"
"I know...maybe we should board, communications could be out"
Jay nodded and initiated landing procedures.
"Jay" said Kara as the ship touched down and the enignes whined to a stop. "You mihgt wanna suit up...life supports out in this section, and I cant tell if its working anywhere else"
Jay nodded, "I'll meet you out there" he said, pointing at the hatch and pulling an EV suit from the wall, a few minutes later he joined the hologram in the Ulysees' shuttlebay.
Jay and Kara flicked on their shoulder lamps, and shone them around the bay.
"Looks deserted" said Kara. "Maybe they abandoned ship"
"Not a chance...there are over 3000 people assigned to this ship, and all but one or two fighter crafts are missing, look" he said, flashing his lamp around the hangar, revealing the Space Eagle fleet. "Whats more, my scanner shows all the transport shuttles and escape pods intact" 
He walked over to a wall console, the sound of his magnetic boots clanking through the deck with every step. "Thats weird..." he muttered
"What?" said Kara, walking over in her soft light form, passing through the wing of a space eagle. "Naviagtion logs show that the fuel reserves are completley empty...."
"Thats impossible!" said Kara, "This class of ship use anti-matter engines!, it uses so little of its fuel supply to power the engines that its supposes to last for over a century before burn out!"
"I know that, and you know that..." Jay said "But someones been taught from a different physics book....possibly the same one they gave Dean..with no chapter on gravity and momentum"
"Or how to use brakes!" Kara joked "Is the fuel reserve leaking or something?"
"Thats just it, theres NO structural damage that I can detect to the ship ANYWHERE, its just as if the engines been burning non-stop for 150 years"
"Maybe we should check the rest of the ship...." Kara said "Though I gotta admit, this is giving me the creeps!"
