WHEE! A new toy! Jp between Zodar and Jay

Where:- Disused Cargo Bay 56
 
Cargo bay 56? Thought Chrysler as he walked along the dark, dusty corridor, noone had been down here in years, even the skutters neglected this area of the ship, so what could Zodar be doing down here. The large double doors scraped open, a few sparks shooting off as it grated against the floor. "CHRIS?" Jay shouted, his voice echoing around the enormous expanse of the cargo bay, making a  
few rats scurry off in fear
 
"Ah, Jay, long time no see, mate" Zodar called back, his voice echoing off the walls, making it hard for Jay to see where the voice was coming from. Zodar had actually tried using one of the vending machines in the corner, but it kept eating his money so he belted it with a wrench and took his drink through the hole he'd made in the front panel instead of the vending tray.
Jay noticed this out of the corner of his eye and walked over

"Been a while where you been hiding?" Jay said as Zodar handed him a Pepsi. "Um..Zo...best before January 1987?" "Sorry...." "I know you said you wanted me to test something dangerous but this is taking it too far!" Zodar grinned like an idiot, "You wanna see it?" he said. "Uh..usually
helps if I'm gonna drive it!" Zodar walked over to an even darker area of the cargo bay and flicked on a light, "BEHOLD!!!!!!" he said in a mad scientist fashion "MY GREATEST INVENTION the E.V.E.1!"
 
Jay walked around the suit in awe, "Wow." He said to himself. "What does the name stand for?" Jay asked.
"Extremely Violent Exoskeleton 1." Zodar said proudly.
"Zodar, the more you talk, the more I want to pilot it." Jay said, rubbing his hands together in anticipation.
"Well it's waiting, just hop inside and strap yourself in."
Jay made his way into the cockpit of the suit and did up the clips.
"Ok, now the ignition is located on..." Zodar was interrupted by the sound of the suit powering up.
"aaaaand he's found it" Zodar finished. Jay looked up at the Heads Up display that was projected onto the cockpit glass, "dude, this thing has power...." he said, and saw Zodar covering his ears. Jay then found the volume control for the external speakers. "Now Jay" Zodar said "The control's work a lot like a Blue Midget in terrain mode, but its more agile...try...." again he was interrupted as Jay
leapt over his head. "cool....blue LED" Zodar heard Jay mumble.
Zodar pulled out a radio and patched into the cockpit's receiver.
"Does she move well?" Zodar asked over the link
"Yeah, this is amazing!" Said jay, running fast towards a wall and doing a flip off it, landing perfectly.
"Jay, you have a weapons array in that thing that should be excellent for away missions. The..."
A bazookoid blast flew from each shoulder, completely destroying the vending
machine that Zodar had taken his anger out on previously.
"I actually was thinking how I'd explain the damage I'd done to that vending machine..." said Zodar
"What vending machine?" Jay asked, jokingly. The machine simply wasn't there anymore.
 
"As well as the bazookoids its also got..." A storage crate was blown apart by a mining laser,..."Its also..." another crate was riddled with holes from the leg mounted rifles.."And.." Ping...a rubber band skimmed Zodars ear. "WILL YA STOP PUSHING BUTTONS BEFORE I SAY!"
 
"Sorry, it's just so damn cool!" Jay said, running up to meet Zodar.
"Do you think you have the hang of it yet?" Zodar asked.
"Well I might need a bit more time..." Muttered Jay, as he pointed an arm of the suit behind him and blew away yet another box with a wrist laser without even looking. He ended the performance by pretending to
blow the smoke from the barrel on his wrist
 
"...Yeah, I think you've had enough time in the suit for today..." Zodar said, walking over to deactivate it.
"NO! Please, just a few more rounds... I won't take long..." Jay pleaded.
"Jay, save some ammunition for tomorrow!"
"So I can use it tomorrow? YES!"
"Well maybe not tomorrow... Next time we need it."
"Ok, fair enough."
Zodar again went to turn the suit off.
"Gotta catch me first..." Said Jay as he sprinted away
 
"The batteries will wear down eventually... He'll be stuck in there then..." Zodar said to himself, walking away.
Jay noticed this and ran back.
"Hey, I was only kidding."
"Then get out of the suit. Now."
"Ok."
Jay climbed out of the cockpit, grinning like a schoolboy, "you think I could borrow it next time I forget me and Alota's anniversary?" "We'll see, If I'm feeling generous" "Could do with a new paintjob though.." said Jay trailing off into deep thought...
