Outta Time, Part 3

JUNE 19th 2127 ad.
 
"Control this is Mobius, all systems check, we are ready to fly" The womans voice was confident, yet nervous at the same time, the admiral knew her well enough to know she wasnt  in any doubt about her ability to fly that thing, but she, and everyone else on the jupiter base knew that this mission carried so many risks that even  Jay Chrysler himself in his prime would have been nervous to launch this expermental ship.
"Ok, keep it cool commander, theres a lot riding on this" the admiral in the control tower replied. "No pressure though!" his female counterpart, commander of the research and engineering department of the space corp, also present. added, glaring at him as she did so.
Another voice came over the comm, another woman. "See you soon mom and dad!" she said,
"Sooner than you think!" came another voice, male this time. The fourth crew member of the Mobius, the science officer, remained silent, he'd wanted revenge on 'him' for so long, that he wondered whether he'd be able to complete this mission.
"Ok, Mobius" the Admiral said from the control tower, "Ignition in 10, 9, 8, 7...."
"good luck" the Research and Engineering head said.
"3, 2, 1..WE ARE GO!!"
Smoke billowed from benath the strange craft in the centre of the airfield, and it rose from the ground, and up into Jupiters atmosphere toward the launch window in the bio-dome.
"God speed" said both admirals together.
