JUNE 17th 2127 ad.
"I trust you know why you're here?" came the voice of the Admiral, his back turned to the officers, as he gazed out of his office windows onto the airfield of the test base.
"Sir. Yes Sir" came four disiplined voices
"How many times do I have to tell you I hate Sir?" said the admiral, turning to face the young officers, tow women two men, the pilot, th medic, the scientist and the engineer, selected for this mission "Especially from you four" He sat down and removed some paperwork from the top drawer in his desk, and passed a copy of it to each of them. "While it is against my better judgement to send you particular officers, for personal reasons, But professionally I cant think of anyone better for the job"
"Yes Sir..sorry... I understand." said a blonde haired male officer, the scientist.
"All I ask is you remember your mission and you're training." He ran five mechanical figners through his greying, yet still full head of hair, and looked up at the pilot and the scientist "And try not to let your feelings get in the way, this is going to be a very emotional few days for the two of you"
"I know. But i'm not sure I can stop myself from loosing it around him. After what he did to her, and you...l." The pilot said shaking with rage.
"Chill sis. He's still our dad even though he....." said the Science officer.

"I know how you're feeling, Commander, trust me, it was becuase of him i got this" the admiral said, pointing at his bionic arm, "Almost screwed my career, if it wasnt for Charles I'd never have flown again" he stood, "But if you;re succesful, it will no longer be an issue, and neither will youre personal feelings, but remember the risks, this mission has not been approved by the space corp, myslef and the engineering head will take full responsibilty, but that may not be enough, we could all have to face up to 20 years"
"As long as we get him for what he did I don't care if they execute me!" The third officer almost yelled.The others mumbled in agreement.
"When are we going to leave. I want to test drive thath tin can before we go." The pilot said with a grin.
"As soon as the engineering department have finished the final checks. " The admiral said. "Then you can take it up, believe me, i wouldnt mind a go with it myself!"
He came around to the outside of his desk and sat back on it. "Good luck, promise me you'll all come back alive"
All four officers nodded the Admiral turned to the Doctor and the Engineer. "Make sure you see you're mother before you leave, shes in the hangar bay, overseeing the final checks"
"Ok Dad", they said nodding,.
The scientist grew sullen.
"Alright people lets move out!" He said.
