Tragic news report!!!! 13/12/2000
I've just recieved news that the Scunthorpe model railway society building was hit by a miniture tornado sweeping its way through Yorkshire.
The horrifying event happened when the society was holding its monthly meeting, high winds completely destroyed the small building.
All three of the members were taken to hospital and are thankfully alive and well, but our thoughts and prayers go to the many model trains which were mercilessly smashed to tiny pieces by the wind and rain last night.
This is a grey day for all of us, I'm sure everyone will mourn the loss of the Scunthorpe Model Railway society. Life will just never be the same again.
