Amber was none to pleased by this, not through concern for Deans welfare, that would be asking too much but more because Dean happened to be inhabiting her body at present time. "You mean...hes killed me too?!"
"I aint giving up on him Amber, try and stay focused on the battle, keep everyone fighting and cover me"
"What are you gonna do?"
"Not a clue..."
With that the Phoenix rocketed towards the hive ship with added starbug.
At closer look it was even less of a pretty sight, the mangled body of the hive craft, which was in more or less two pieces, and he wreckage of the starbug strewn across the surface of the ship, only one piece of it seemed intact, the mid section, which was lodged in the hull of the Hymenoptera vessel.
He did a scan of the mid-section, and watched the console readout intently as he did so, the scan completed, and the results displayed on the console.
"One life sign, human female, very weak, hull integrity critical"
"The lucky bastard" Jay muttered, and docked the Phoenix with the midsection's rear hatch, fortunatley, the desingers of the starbugs had had the foresight for it to be modular, in emergency situations it could split in three, and even luckier, Space Corp ships had universal docking ports.
Jay pulled on his environmental suit from the locker aboard the Phoenix, which, typically was to big for him  now that he was in Rio's body, luckily it was just about wearable. Grabbing a bazookoid, which due to Rio's small build was a lot heavier than he was used to.The interior of the Starbugs midsection was a mess, as you would expect, and from what would be the cockpit hatch scratching could be heard as the bugs attempted to gain entry. It didnt take him long to find Dean. He was unconcious, blood trickling from his forehead, but he was breathing, Jay guessed that Amber's gelf DNA had helped save her, and Deans life. Jay attempted to lift Ambers motionless body onto his shoulder and carry Dean to safety, but another downfall of Rio's body was that she was smaller than even Amber, and toppled backwards, causing Ambers chin to collide with the scanner table. 
Giving up on this, Jay decided to drag Dean to safety instead. Dropping him in the centre of the Phoenixes cockpit he sealed the hatch and undocked.
He pulled away quickly, swiftly dodging a barrage of web fire from a nearby fighter, banking, he aimed the Phoenix' weaponry at the starbug, and let loose with everything, the remains of the 'bug exploded, sendign a shockwave into the Hymentoptera vessel, and sucking several bugs out into the blackness of space, seconds before the ship itself erupted into flame.
Dean came around. "Wow...Jay you saved my life...thanks"
"Dont thank me man...you have any idea how much paperwork I'd have to fill out if you died?!"
Both Jay and Dean seemed completlwey oblivious to the thermo-nuke currently heading at them.

Dean barrell-rolled, and had his radio mast shot off for his trouble.
"Bugger."
A burning Hymentoptera ship crashed into the ship, knocking the gyroscope out. The bug spun out of control.
With the bug on fire and out of control, Dean reached the simple conclusion. "SMEG!"
As he was strapped into the cockpit, he saw the Hymentoptera Hive Ship dead ahead.
"Great..."
Dean braced as the bug impacted into the hull...
