He awoke to the sound of alarms, the oh so familiar call
of "Emergency, Red Alert" over and over and over and over and he
suddenly realised that he was in a very dark, confined space.
Zodar tapped his watch, "Work, damn you." he whispered.
The screen lit up with static for a moment. A soft white light was
directed up at Zodar's face and he noticed the flight suits around
him.
"Holly, what happened?" He spoke into the watch and Holly appeared on
it's compact screen.
Holly proceeded to to tell the story. It so happened that Zodar had
fainted.
His journey began with him laying unconscious in a hallway. After
receiving the good news, he ran aproximately twelve steps before his
head exploded.
Or at least, that's what it appeared to do to any outsider who
happened to be walking past. Unfortunately there were none at the
time, except for Holly, so the reliability of the whole 'exploding
head' story was poor at best.
Then, well, Holly's recount of the whole thing was sketchy, but it
involved several crewmembers stepping over Zodar to get to where they
were going, and then some crewmembers kicking Zodar to the side of
the hallway and wedging him there in the right angle between the wall
and the floor.
Some time after that, some Engineering mates played a prank on Zodar,
dragging him into a red starbug and leaving him in a closet...
Zodar relaxed a bit, but this didn't last long. He heard voices
coming from outside of the closet. Zodar heard the engines start, and
the distant noises of battle. He decided to stay in the closet so as
to not put off the pilot.
Before too long, Zodar realised a major design flaw in this
particular Starbug. It's closet did not have restraints.
Zodar was thrown around inside the closet, climbing into a flight
suit that was hanging up above him for at least some padding from the
wild ride.
