Re: [JMC_Blue_Dwarf] Niples-Queen-Efof \"Well there goes\"
Snip ********
A short time later
Seymour
Outside Katrinaâs door
âits splendid to see you again!â he said to nobody, experimenting with
words
he could say to make up for lack of contact with the girl he said he would
marry. âNo, too formal. Hmmmâ¦. Katrina honey darling!â¦.noâ¦too friendly
for
someone I havnât seen for so longâ¦..â
Suddenly the door opened and Katrina stepped out. He hadnât rant the bell so
she must just be on her way to work or the shops.
After spending the last few minutes thinking of what to say, the ambassador
was dumbfounded.
âIâm backâ he eventually said.
There was an awkward silence as Katrina looked at him. He looked back.
He held a hand out. Offering flowers.
She took the flowers.
She lifted the flowers over her head and beat him with them. âYOU COULD HAVE
AT LEAST RANG ME ONCE IN A WHILE!â She shouted.
Well there goes the wedding.

"I'm sorry! I'm sorry!" Seymour repeated as he was hit. "I was going to ring
you, but I got distracted with some nasty business on New Ibiza, and the
queen-"
"Screw the queen!" Katrina screamed. She stopped hitting him and threw the
flowers (actually, they were just stems now) back over her shoulder, nearly
hitting Cat PITA, who hissed. "Screw her and screw you, too!" She started off
down the corridor, leaving him behind.
"Wait!" Seymour called, taking off after her. "I've come to make it up to
you, Katrina. Really. Hey, you're limping."
Katrina stopped and turned back to him. "Yes, I'm probably going to have a
permanent limp, thanks to you."
"Me?"
"Because of you being a stupid king and those goddamn spider-robot things
attacking the palace and trying to kill me, I'm going to have a huge, ugly
scar and a limp," she spat. "I hope my misery was worth your time in the sun."
Seymour looked dumbfounded once again. Before he could say anything, Katrina
started to cry and threw herself at him.
"I still love you, I do, Seymour," she sobbed into his shirt. "But you're
always leaving me, and I hate it. If you leave me behind again, I won't be
here when you get back."
She peeled herself off his shirt, which was now quite damp, and wiped her
eyes on her sleeve.
"What can I do?" he asked.
"You have to promise to marry me, tonight," she began, "and in your vows you
must swear that you won't leave me behind, on this ship, again, even if you
must take me with you. If you can't do that, then I will leave you. I can't
risk being without you again."
(I've thought long and hard, and it comes down to this for Katrina. So, what
do you say, Seymour?)
