Vanessa stood in the centre of her quarters, and looked around at the many boxes she had sealed, her belongings, packed away back in the storage boxes they'd been stored away in after she was killed. She'd have them shipped back to earth, to her parents house and they could do whatever they felt best with them, fromt he cupboard she pulled out mementoes for her family and friends.
She'd just sent an email to her parents and her younger sister and so know there was only thing left to do.
"Holly" she said "Wheres my brother?"
"You're brother? Whos that then?"
"JAY!"
"Jay?....Jay who?"
"Aint he the ships doctor?"
"Holly hes a smegging pilot"
"oooohhh......JAY...thougth you said something else..hes with Alota on deck 4"
 "Thanks hol...uh..wait.." she remebered what dean..or amber had told her
"Second thoguths wheres Ensign Lomaz?"
"Rio?"
"yeh"
"Shes in the pilots lounge"
"Thanks hol."
"Thanks? what did i do?"
Vanessa smiled "Goodbye holly"
With that she left and headed for the flight deck.
 
See entered the pilots lounge, and saw Rio, sitting in front of Efof eating a veritable banquet of McDonalds food. This seemed to disturb Efof greatly "DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH FAT IS ONE OF THOSE BURGERS?!!!" he whined "YOUVE JUST EATEN 6 OF THEM!"
Vanessa guessed that the real Rio Lomaz was currently 'piloting' Efof.
"Ohgodohgodohgodohdo" Efof moaned. "When I get my body back Im going on a diet! IF YOU DONT KILL ME FROM CHOLESTOROL POISONING FIRST CHRYSLER!!"
Jay/ Rio laughed to him/herslef he loved winding people up.
"Jay.?" came Vanessas voice from behind.
Jay looked over his/ Rio's shoulder.
"Vanessa!" he said, surprised. "What are you doing in here..youre not a pilot ..and more importantly...how do you know I'm Jay?"
"Dean told me" Vanessa said, "can we go somewhere private?"
"Yeh sure, my office"
 
A few minutes later Jay sat on his desk, his feet dangling at least 10 inches from the floor. "Whats up sis?"
"Phil...he says..he says his light bee can't support my program anymore, that my program is destabilizing at an incredible rate"
"What are you saying.." Jay said in a concerned tone.
"I'm saying Jay, that my program will shut down in ten minutes....permanantley"
"whu....but...Phil will help..he'll..he'll do...clever shit...fix it"
"Jay, hes tried, god knows hes tried, but my program just isnt compatible with his bee, and my programs so degraded that even if i was transferred to a new one, It'd only extend it for a few days, a week at most"
"So...what...what can we do now?"
"Nothing...but I had to say goodbye this time."
She walked over to Jay, "I'd just rather have done it with the real you" she said, a tear welling in her eye. Jay jumped off the desk, and pulled his sister toward him, even she, his kid sister was taller than him in Rios body. Saying nothing he hugged her tightly.
"..I. never forgve myself for letting you die..and know i have to do it again"
"IT wasnt your fault Jay..there was nothing you could have done" she said fighting back the tears.
A beeping noise came from her holographic watch "Its time Jay..this is it.. " she said
and stepped a few steps backwards  "I love you Jay....goodbye...." her image flickered, and in a few breif seconds Phil's lightbee fell to the floor.
"Goodbye vanessa..." he muttered and dropped to his/ Rio's knees to pick up the bee.
"Guys not meant to watch his little sister die once...let alone twice..I love you too Vanessa..."  he wiped away a single tear from his cheek.

"Well it's quite simple...I just set the bee on a timed shutdown. Only When It has shut down I'll purge the memory buffers, in effect...killing you...god I hate that term...."
 
"And I wont come back?"
 
"Unless Jay brings you back....But I've a contigency plan in case he suggest it..."
 
"Such as?"
 
"Well, I'll just say that your matrix became corrupted and no longer viable for use as a hologram.."
 
"Will it work?"
 
"Sure. Jay'll belive me..He trusts me for some reason...dunno why..."
 
Phil shoock his head as if the clear some images...
 
"You okay Phil?" asked Vannesa.
 
"Yeah, it's just the dream I had...Amber was here and she told me that Dean was inside her...If that was true then Mr Thomas has got some explaing to do..Prhapes i'm just being paranoid...God I'm starting to sound like Harris..."
 
"Must come with the teritory. Anyway, the countdown?"
 
"Oh yes, it'll take a few seconds..."
 
The light bee deactivated. Phil fiddled around with it for a few seconds then rectivated it again..
 
"Now Vannesa, I wasn't able to give you 24 hours, only 12..and about those memoires...?"
 
"Don't worry Phil...I wont tell...You've helped this crew out numerous times...You've helped Jay as well..As far as I'm concerned you've wiped the slate clean..."
 
"Okay, lets go and find Jay..."
