Cain put the recorder away back in his pocket and then started another recording that sat on the table.  "Now then, you will tell me your opinions on the current commanding staff of this ship, anything else that would be considered seriously against the regulations and why this ship and its' transport craft has been crashed so many times."
 
Jay whined quietly to himself for a few moments, mostly about his new complexion and lack of his previous ownership of a head of blonde hair.
He looked up and stared Cain in the eye.
"You're gonna pay for that!"
"I very much doubt it"
"Oh..you'll pay.."
"How pray tell?"
"You've not met my wife have you?"
"Chrysler, LT. A" he read from Jays personnell file "Not yet but I'm sure I'll have the pleasure, now answer the questions"
"The command structure of this ship...is..confusing, at times but in my experience as first officer recentley i can safely say the majority of the ship is in safe hands. Captain Niples and Commander White Wofl will go to the wall for the crew, they are in my opinion to of the most loyal, and trustworthy officers I've ever had the fotune to be acquainted with. Unlike some I could mention"
Cain said nothing, just looked at Jay, a after a few monents he said.
"And the other department heads? Your opinion?"
"Ceerbrums as nutty as a squirrels faeces, but he knows his job, Keto's not much of a person but he knows his job, FeBuggure does the best job he can with a bunch of retards working for him, and even with virtually no resources Zodar always has the ship operating better than most Space Corp battleships....well....almost"
"And how about breach of regulations?"
"Ketos ointment experiments leave a lot to be desired for, but if we obeted the rules all the time then medical technology wouldnt be where it is today"
"Anything else you wanna tell me about?"
Jay fought to resist the drugs, but unlike Dr Cerebrum before him, he didnt have the resistance against them.
"Recent.."...Damn Chrysler SHUT THE HELL UP! "Recent expeditions to Amadeus havent been completley..lawful.."
"'m fully aware of the missions involving Amadeus 5 Commander, and I believe you were a part in that?"
"Yes"
"And would you mind telling me why so many of this vessels support craft and even the vessel itself spend so much time NOT in the air, I believe that department is YOUR responsibilty?"
"With all due respect, the Blue Dwarf itself has only been crashed on one occasion, by myself, as an emergency landing, I followed orders to traverse the stargate but we found ourselves within the atmosphere and the gravitational pull of the planet. It was land, or die. And as im spekaing my mind albeit unwillingly, what the F**K would YOU know about piloting a dwarfstar class ship?"
Cain reached out and punched Jay across the cheek, "Talk to me in that tone again Lt Cmdr and I'll see to it you're not let NEAR a helm station in your worthless life!"
sitting back down he said "Now the shuttles?"
"99% of all shuttle crashes aboard this ship have been crashed while the navigation department was under the command of Lt Cmdr Kayn Bestrom, and even then most situations were from combat, or sabotage. Since I have commanded the department we have had two shuttle crashlanding, piloted by Lt. Dean Thomas and Ensign Kara McGellan"
"Your opinion on Mcgellans ability?"
"I have no doubts about her ability to fly, as far as I can tell, the crash landing was a result of systems failure following a combat mission"
"And Lt. Thomas?"
"He has potential, he has admittedly crashed more shuttles than most of the other pilots, but thats due to his tendancy to go headlong into the most dangerous missions, and get shot down by enemy fire. Which in my opinion is an admirable trait"
"A characteristic he shares with you, do you really think thats a characteristic the Space Corp look for in their pilots? they dont care that your saving the lives of your friends, and your family, all they care about is the money the have to spend on replacing the ships you and your 'pilots' and i use the term loosley, crash"
