Receiving the message

Allie threw the last of her knick-knacks into the
truck under the sink in her quarters. She stretched
and arranged the toiletries around the sink itself.
She didn't need them as she was a self-contained
hologram who could take a shower with the push of a
button on the control panel on her belt. They'd been
left behind by the occupant before her and she kept
them because they looked nice.
"Oi! Allie! Is it safe to come in?" came Holly's
voice.
"Yes, of course," Allie replied.
Holly's head appeared over the sink. "Okay, good.
White Wolf said I couldn't see more nipples on the
female crewmembers after a strange conversation with
Katrina Swete."
Allie shook her head disapprovingly. "I don't want
to know, Holly. Do you have a message for me?"
"Do I?" Holly looked stumped. "Yes, I do. White Wolf
has a dinner date with Cain later and wants you to fix
the rings on WD-40 with the scutters."
Allie cocked her red, curly-haired head. "Pardon?
Why don't you just replay the security tape so I know
exactly what he wants."
"Okie dokey, artichokey," Holly agreed and the head
disappeared.

"Aren't you supposed to be meeting with Cain first?"
inquiried Holly pointedly.
"Thanks for reminding me! I almost forgot about
chatting with our resident casper. Tell him I'll meet
with him in my crewquarters in an hour... Um, make
that three hours, I've also got to get Allie an
engagment ring and make dinner reservations."
"Right, I've got it. You want a dinner engagement
with Cain, so he can repair a ring, and collect all of
Allie parts and deliver her to a scutter. You can
depend on ole' Holly to deliver your message!" replied
Holly before blipping out.

"Was I supposed to hear that, Hol?" Allie asked. "He
didn't say anything about contacting me."
"Oh, yeah, you're right," Holly agreed. "Forget you
saw that. I know I will." Holly disappeared.
Allie shook her head again. She continued to
arranged the toiletries when she suddenly remembered
something.
"Engagement ring?!" she squealed.
