The much awaited (and somewhat belated) SOTM Awards!!!

The rotund hamster jumps onto the hastily erected stage in the Blue
Dwarfs library, and quickly says while pitifully tugging at the very
large book on a nearby shelf, "Well, it seems this wonderfully happy
task of presenting our simmer of the award has been handed off to
me!"
->CRUNCH<-
"Um, Ok. Make that - 'fallen upon me'...", says the hamster while
squirming out from underneath the heavy fallen tome, and then dusting
himself off, "Ahem! Now let's see who are our current winners..."
The huge hamster reverently opens the dusty volume and flips through
it's many pages releasing a cloud of dust, causing him to cough a bit
and wave his paw to clear the air, before he continues, "Uh oh, it
seems we have a small problem here - We haven't given out an award
for the past three months! Oh dear, me. I simply must correct that.
Hmm... let me see..."
The huge hamster pauses in thought for a moment, and then quickly
whips out his pen and hastily scrawls some names into the book,
before straightening his shoulders and announcing in a loud voice -
"For his wonderfully engaging and humorous posts, which included
personal disagreements with his arm over whether to have a glass of
Guinness or chardonnay... And one really fun to read subplot
involving Efof Yuw'Anker, Katrina Swete, the re-introduction of Steev
MacKenzyyyy plus Zack & Cubie Richards, and 'Queen Britney Jennifer
Royal' of england all while accidently becoming king and destroying
Buckingham palace...
For all that, and being such a wonderfully swell guy as well, I
present our March 2002's Simmer of the Month Award to...
Captain Seymour Niples!!!
:: Clap, Clap :: :: Whistles & Cheering ::
"Ok. Our next SOTM winners recent contributions can be summed up in
three words - 'Operation Mint Sauce'. This was a major plot which
admittedly made things seem like a really good April fool joke
involving everyone, and since it was truely a team effort; Our simmer
of the month award for April goes to that fantastically comedic duo -
Jay & Alota Chrysler!"
:: Loud Claps & Whistles, followed by a small bit of grumbling from
the back which finishs with Alota stating 'Your still sleeping on the
couch...' ::
"Now, the month of May proved to be very difficult month in which to
choose just a single winner out of the many, many wonderful posts...
We had the arrival of a bunch of fun loving furballs - no, not some
duplicates of me or Phil - the Wibbles!
Plus a really inspiring Pirate Invasion plot which brought out some
really good post writing from several of our players. Including some
that struck me as really great reading, and left me very hard pressed
to whittle down my short list of contenders to only one for simmer of
month.
But after a bit of mental debate over whether I should apply a
numeric scoring system to the individual posts, or just simply roll
the dice/pick a name out of a hat, I decided upon our simmer of the
Month for May - Joanne Peiades!"
