"I wouldn't be so smug if I were you," Jo said, lining Jay's craft upin her sights.
 
"Ah for Smeg's sake!" shouted Jay, frustrated at the concept of another dogfight with a pilot from a fleet that just DOESNT LEARN!. "Throw me a frickin challenge will ya!"
He yelled pulling up sharply.
Jo followed intently, the sleek Phoenix gliding through space. Jo unleashed a round of fire from the Phoenix'es gatling guns, tearing off the last remaining landing leg of the pirate fighter, which looped above her and barrell rolled letting go a few missiles as it did so. Three hit, shearing the left leg off the hull of the Phoenix.
 
"Oh smeg" Jo said "Jays gonna kill me" she didnt realise quite how likely that statement was to come true.
 
She ws still struggling with her injured arm, so she couldnt manouver as fast as Chrysler and the pirate shuttles outgunned the Phoenix, a cold swaet broke put on her brow as she fought to control the hot rod.
Jay was taunting her, flying ahead ofher a happliy rolling the shuttle in the sky. 
"Thats it you son of a bitch.." she muttered, She slammed the throttle into the dash and at full speed...which was bloody fast...chased the piate ship, guns blazing
Jay banked left, clipping his wing on the  on the front of the Phoenix. 
Jay rolled again trying to recover from the impact. Jo wasnt so lucky  however the imapct had pulled the Phoenix to the port side, and even though it had turned it continued moving sideways. Trouble was..Jay had already come about with a second volley and had already taken out the Phoenixes manouvering thrusters.
Jo managed to guide it between the shuttle bay doors, but couldnt slow down, and slid sideways across the deck, sparks flying until she collided with the wall, taking out the supoorts for the overhead gangway, which buckled and fell away from the wall, crashing down on top of the Phoenix.
 
"Chrysler to Kane" Jay said into the comm.
"I've finally got rid of the last of their...'gnats', im coming aboard"
He landed the fighter on its belly, sparking on the metal deckplate as it skidded from having no landing gear left, and hopped out of the cockpit. Arming himself, he headed for the docking tunnels and joined the boarding party that was spilling out onto the promenade...

Ambersaid."Sure I'll try" Jo fired on a fighter that was heading for her thensent the Phoenix off in the Valkyrie's direction.--<end snip>--Jo put the Phoenix in a dive that took her away from the thick of thefighting towards where the Valkyrie drifted silently.  Jo triggered the comm, “Mr. Bestrom, How are you doing out there?”“Oh, just fine and dandy.  The engine shorted out all my targetingsystems.  I’m a sitting duck,” Kayn’s voice cackled back.Jo scanned her monitors and found the source of Kayn’s frusration.  Twopirate fighters, bored now that most of the Blue Dwarf ships had beendecimated, were closing in on the Valkyrie for an ‘easy kill’.Jo’s dive had brought her in from above on a path perpendicular to thepirates.  Taking aim, she fired a burst of Gaussian shotgun rounds atthe lead fighter.  The bullets ripped through the cockpit, shreddingthe pilot and his craft.  With quicker reflexes than his partner, thepirate wingman snapped up onto his starboard wing and pulled up,breaking off his attack on the Valkyrie.  Jo shot past the clump ofcongealed metal, and began a long loop to bring her back to aid Kayn.
