Amber hit the comms in the cockpit of the Space Eagle 2 and patched it to the medi-bay.
"Mum. We have a lot of casualties out here get the medi-bay ready to receive them" She closed the channel before waiting for a response. She saw the Phoenix come out of the shuttle bay and opened a direct link whilst shooting down a few of the pirate fighters.
"Jay! It's about time!"
"It's Jo actually. I borrowed the Phoenix!" The lead fighter opened up on Jo. She rolled out of the way.
"Can you get all our guys back on the Dwarf whilst I cover you?" Amber said
"Sure i'll try" Jo fired on a fighter that was heading for her then sent the Phoenix off in the Valkirie's direction. Amber turned her attention to the remaining pirate fighter. She pulled the SE around and shot at the craft. It dodged. Amber whistled.
"Your moves are as good as Jays." She said and looped around to the back of the fighter. Amber opened fire but the ship rolled out of the way and spun around to face her. The guns on the fighter fired and made holes in the mid section of the Space Eagle. Amber sealed off the area and fired on the fighter. She destroyed one of the landing legs. The pilot of the fighter corkscrewed as if out of control.
"I'm not gonna fall for that one, Jay taught me that move." Amber sped up and matched the death roll. She was behind the fighter when it pulled up rapidly, scraping the side of the SE.
"Smeg!" Amber yelled and fought with the SE for control. She managed to pull the ship out of the spin and searched for the fighter on the her scanner. It wasn't there. Amber panicked and turned the SE around looking for the fighter. Suddenly the ship lurched as the fighter rammed it from behind. Amber screamed.
"Those aren't like Jay's moves they ARE Jay's moves." Amber fired on the fighter craft and took out another landing leg. "I can't kill you but I can stop you landing.... What happened Jay? Why are you fighting for them not us?" Amber asked herself. The fighter pulled up and around to the back of her again and opened fire. Amber dodged and used the rear guns on the Space Eagle. She did a loop the loop behind the ship. The fighter sped up and headed straight for the Dwarf. Amber came alongside the ship and matched the speed. Her lightening fast reactions faltering because she was in one on one combat against Jay. The fighter pulled sharply around and fired a huge round of bullets at the Space Eagle. It made the left wing look like a cheese grater.
"Smeg!" Amber said. She turned the Eagle away from the dwarf but nothing happened. Another round of bullets were emptied onto the Eagle. A control panel next to Amber exploded. She screamed and looked down. Her right side was badly burned and bleeding a lot. Amber in the out of control ship watched the scanner infront of her. The fighter had flown around to the other side and unleashed another lot of bullets, the left panel exploded burning her again, a shards of metal sunk into her arm and leg. She screamed again and held back the tears.
"Jay why are you doing this!" She yelled, but the comms had been destroyed. The last of the controls in the cockpit fizzed out. Amber was left heading at breakneck speed towards the side of the Blue Dwarf. The Space Eagle shot towards the huge metal ship and the fighter pulled away, with the pilot laughing inside. The space Eagle hit the side of the Blue Dwarf and took out one of the connecting tunnels to the other ship. It slammed through the decks like a knife through hot butter. It finally came to a stop, but Amber didn't notice, she lay, barely breathing, slumped over a blown out console with blood pouring from a large gash in her head.<Tag. Jo.... medi-people....>
