The image of Marcus Kane flickered on the small viewscreen, the frieighter captian cocked his gun and shouted back "You want it, come get it mother f***er! but we aint giving up without a fight!"
"Very well captain, if thats how you want it" Marcus turned to the figure behind him "You heard the man.."
 
The Rapier carried a fleet of one man fighters, literally used to decimate potential targets. The fleet launched from the bay, and began firing at the small freighter, leading the squadron was a man called Jay Chrysler.
Flying alonfg the side of the cargo ship he opened fire, the fighter ship's weaponry blasting holes in the hull plating.
"Chrysler to Kane, all weaponry on their starboard side hads been disabled, bring her in.."
The Rapier moved slowly toward the cargo ship, while Jay and his squadron battled the few defence ships the frieghter carried, but frankly it was so easy it was like fighting Dean in a dogfight...if Jay could remeber Dean, in fact..if he could remember anyone from Blue Dwarf at all it would be like fighting Will Cannons pet rat, Bobo......little tougher than Dean....
 
The Rapier stopped moving a few feet from the Frieghter, and several small docking tunnels deployed and sealed themselves to the hull of the smaller ship, many of the pirates an to the end of these tunnels and using bazookoids, cut holes through the hull plating making instant accessways, and instant death for any of the friegther crew as soon as the Rapier moved away, breaking the pressure seals.
The Rapiers crew moved through the ship like a disease through one of Ketos patients. Jay and his team landing in its shuttlebay, creating even more platoons of well armed 'scavengers' .
 
Hours later, when everything of value had been stripped of the ship Marcus aimed a gun at the Frieghter captains head. "Go ahead" he said "Kill me"
Marcus smirked, "Not yet mon capitan, first you're ging to send a distress call to the nearest ship, lure them here."
"Why the hell should I?" the captain yelled "You're only going to kill me anyway!"
"Very true, but if you dont, I'll also kill her" he said, and he gestured toward the captains daughter, being held by Marcus' brother Needles.
"Alright..." said the captain "But please, dont hurt her... "
THe captain moved toward the communications console.
"The nearest ship is a JMC mining ship, called the Blue Dwarf"
"I know, a ship that size must be full of people, all with valuable items that we can make a mint on" Marcus replied "Now send the call"
The captain hit the distress button, sedning an automated signal to the Blue Dwarf. Seconds later the corridors surrounfding the drive room were filled with the sound of a gunshot, and the screams of the captains daughter as she watched her father slump to the ground in a pool of blood.

"The Rapier" said Marcus "Its a ..'trade ship'" "what kind of trade?" asked Jay."Well, lets say we salvage what we find on ther ships and sell what we dont want to the highest bidder""Scavengers?""Not exactly, the law would prefer to call us Pirates" Marcus stopped and unlocked a door, and shouted through to his brother, Needles, "Is it ready?" "Yep" replied Needles, "Bring him in"Marcus was a tall man, scruffy looking but clearly in carge of the ship, Needles spoke in a high-pitched squeak, but clearly had brains, even if they were scrambled. "please Jay, have a seat"Jay cautiously took a seat in fron of a large monitor screen "Hopefully, this will Jog your memory..."he played a video that depicted Jay amongst a group of men which included Marcus and Needles ransacking another ship,, the image of Jay was super-imposed, but certainly looked real enough for him to believe it. THe tape lasted for over an hour, every scene showing himself, murdering, stealing, looting dong pretty much everything you would expect from a ruthless space Pirate.When it was over he stood and turned toward Marcus "Alright i'm convinced," he said"Excellent," came the reply "As i explained, you're our best pilot, you lead the squadrons of fighter craft that attack the target vessels and then assault on foot, do you think you're up to flying?"Jay may not remeber much about his personal life, but one thingf seemed strong in his mind, he instinctivley knew how to pilot a shuttle."Ready when you are" he said. "Perfect" Marcus asked.
