Seymour nodded. He'd been meaning to research the eccentric Richards ever
since Zack's trial after Blotz wrecked the Promenade trying to arrest him.
"How long until you run out of power?"
"If I don't power up any weaponry, about three days of constant operation."
Cubie shrugged. "With the hit I took, I can't access any of my defensive
programs, so that's a moot point."
"Ah. Pity that." Seymour helped transfer Katrina to Cubie's arms. "You
will be good with her, won't you? After all, she's my fiancee."
He thought about that for a moment. "Come to think of it, we were
interrupted just before you told me your answer."
All eyes were on Katrina.

Still struggling to get the world to stop spinning, Katrina didn't like this
sudden attention. She could feel another course of her breakfast wanting to
expel itself violently from her body, but she managed to keep it down.
Trying to look as serious as anyone could that had just thrown up half a
dozen times and was being carried by a hologram known for mood swings,
Katrina looked Seymour straight in the eye and said, "Seymour, darling, yes."
Seymour beamed with joy.
"And you're all invited to the wedding!" she exclaimed groggily, throwing her
arms out. "All except those spiders, of course."
He went to kiss her, but remembering her recent wave of vomiting, thought
better of it and went to kiss her hand. The first one he went for was covered
in vomit, so he changed his mind and went for the other. That one was covered
in blood. What a predicament for a gentleman.
Katrina noticed his dilemma and smiled weakly. "You'll owe me a kiss, cutie.
Once I take a nice hot shower, you can kiss me all you want." She added in
her best Barry White voice, "Then we'll make sweet, sweet love, I promise."
"If this Kodak moment is over, we should be skedadling to a hospital now,
don't you think?" Cubie suggested.
