Who:- Jay, Amber, Zodar, Ray
Where:- The shuttle bay
"Zo," Jay said "You're one of my best mates, and the best damn engineer I
know, therefore, I want you to help in this little project."
Zodar nodded.
"Amber, I figure this is a good lesson for you, I think all pilots should
know the basics of shuttle engineering, thats why I ordered you here."
Amber smiled, she honestly didnt CARE why she was here, as long as it was
with Jay, and frankly bieng near him took her mind off the way her dad was
acting latley.
"Ray," Jay said "The captain has pretty much given the order that you are
gonna be the one to fly this puppy, Ok, I'll probably do the test flight but
you'll be the one in the cockpit on its first mission, so I want you're
input any siggestions you may have gratefully recieved,"
Jay pinned the plans of the NEW space eagle to the wall.
"Ray" Jay said again "Efof and Rio are covering our shifts for the time
being, and...when we're done here, and everytihngs back to normal, I'll take
you up on that race, in fact......since were heading toward earth, I'll use
my old space bike that's rusting away in my parents garage....and to make it
fair, I wont do so much as fill the tank!"
Ray raised an eyebrow at this comment.
He walked over and looked at the plans.
"You're putting in a type 7 plasma engine?" he said, surprised.
"Yeah, why?"
"Dude, those things are hardly the most efficient engines to use, they
output more energy in waste than what you put in!"
"Yeah, BUT they are fast, put one of these in the space eagle 2 and it'll
move faster than Keto to his ointment cabinet"
"THATS PRETTY DAMN FAST!" piped in zodar,
"I really think you need a type 5"
"I agree" said Zodar "but try finding one on this ship,...."
"type 7 it is.." said Jay.
