the Blue Dwarf camp, as Jarvis lost another half an eyebrow while
trying to explain the niceties of combat survival chemistry to Lloyd.
Several BD security officers were putting the finishing touches to
the camp (ie. painting everything blue), and Steev was busy building
a trip wire trap that not only incapacitated the enemy, but also
painted him blue, tied him up, and put a pretty pink bow in his hair.
"Alright, I'm only going to ask you once more, what were you doing
crossing the perimeter?!" hissed Druscilla to the first
captive. "Talk, or you'll be breaking big rocks with a small hammer
in a military prison for the rest of your pitiful existence!!"
The rabbit snuffled perplexedly as only a small bewildered rabbit can.
Another security officer chipped in, with "Look, why don't you just
talk? It'll be easier on you if you just let her know what she
wants. You know it's the only way. Cigarette?"
Luckily there were several other people concentrating on defending
the base, with three pairs of scouts sweeping the perimeter.
Owen and a tall security officer were arguing about whether Owen, as
head of supplies was allowed sell the survival rations as "light
refreshments", but were interupted as Druscilla's com squarked an
alarm from one of the pairs of perimeter scouts.
"Bogeys encountered at twelve o'clock, heading towards you, ETA five
minutes" Everybody pricked up their ears at the hint of some action
coming their way, literally in the case of the rabbit-spy.
"Shadow them, but do not engage until you see us attacking, we're
going to set up an ambush." instructed Druscilla as people hurried to
get into their positions.
"In the pipe, five by five"
Drusilla knew it was a bad idea letting a failed Space Corps pilot
come along. You could never understand what the hell they were
saying.
