The Wonderful pairing of Alexander and Mayer
Who: Sarah alexander, Sean Mayer.
Where: Medibay.
---------------------------
Mayer looked at the large piles of papers that Sarah had taken from
her tool bag. She was currently sorting them into piles of
reletivity.
"So you're partly repsonsible for all this then?" said Mayer,
cheerfully.
Sarah looked up from her papers, annoyed.
"Responsible for what?" she asked, distracted.
"You know, Trisees with the personality messing upping and stuff.
didn't you make this machine with him that did it all?"
"How do you know about that?" she asked. "That project was
classified."
"It's all in his files," said Sean pointing over to the large stack
of papers that lay on and around Shakespeare's desk. "He was trying
to work out what that mahcine did to him to give him two, well four
now, multiple personalities. And you helped make the original
machine with him, so you are part of the cause of it happening, yeah?"
Sarah shook her head and returned to the paper sorting.
"I'm busy."
"I'll take that as a yes," grinned Mayer.
He wandered over to Keto's office and looked at the vials again,
before returning back to the main area.
"Finished yet?" he asked, cheerily.
Sarah looked up and gave sean the evil eye.
"Would you please just be quiet. You called me to fix this problem
and I can't do it with you continually pestering me whilst I attempt
to work. So just be quiet and let me do my speciality, OK?"
Sean looked at her expectantly.
"Don't you think this place would be a bit more homely with yellow
walls instead of white ones?" he asked.
Sarah's confused expression grew ever moreso.
"That has nothing to do with what I just said!" she exclaimed.
"It was just a thought," said Mayer.
. * .
Mayer sat perfectly still on the edge of the main operating table,
one eye closed, looking at the reflection of a plant on the
mirrorlike wall. He seemed to be very quietly giggling.
Sarah was now drawing up large diagrams on a set of empty pieces of
paper, she'd been doing so for the last twenty or so minutes.
Sarah looked up from her work at the still form of Sean and sighed.
"What are you doing?" she asked. His antics were more than
slightly irritating and frankly she had no idea how anyone put up
with him.
"Looking at the plant," he said, unchanging his position.
Sarah gritted her teeth and returned to the drawing. Ever so
slightly, the giggling returned.
Sarah slammed down the pens and shouted at Sean.
"THAT'S IT!"
Sean was so startled that he fell off the table and landed on the
floor, jarring his arm.
"Ouch, hey that hurt," he said, rubbing his shoulder.
"You're getting on my nerves!" she said, sighing.
"I just want to help, but there's nothing I can do," Sean admitted.
"You want to help me?! Go and find that Doctor of yours!"
"Alright, alright," said Sean, holding his arm and moping.
He strolled out of the medibay and left Sarah alone. She was
tired, and very cranky. She didn't know how he'd done it, but this
Mayer character, had somehow figured out that she had faked her own
death. The same man who was entertained by watching light bounce off
a wall.
She thought back to the day Trisees had vanished without a trace.
The smashed machien, and the videotape procliaming his love for her.
That day had changed her. She'd lost that bright happy sparkle she
once had. She grew reclusive and unhappy. She'd becoem a miserable
wretch of her former self.
She'd decided to pretend to take her life after being placed on one
of the S.A.E.C.'s top level rocket engine tests. The ruse had gone
smoothly, and she'd been living in quiet harmony on one of Saturn's
more expensive moons.
Then Mayer's call. He told her why he needed her help, and a small
ray of hope had appeared inside of her. Could Trisees really be
alive? It was the motivation behind her. But she needed quiet.
Peace and quiet. And Sean wasn't helping in the slightest.
She ran her fingers throguh her long blodne hair, and began drawing
once more.
. * .
Sean wandered the corridors whistling a jonty tune to himself. He
was sligthyl irritated when a very peeved scientist pushed past him
and almost knocked him on the floor.
"Wonder what the matter with him is?" Sean asked himself. Looking
in the direction the man had come from, Sean could see that Nurse
woman and a naked Doctor Keto trying to cover himself with a ladiers
labcoat.
"Ah, Keto, there you be!" said Sean happily.
"What do you what, misfit?" asked Keto. "I'm in what you migth
call a bad mood at present, so I warn you against irritating me."
"Myself and the scientist, Sarah Alexander, who is currently
working in the medibay, need your help."
"My help in what?" queried Keto, adjusting the overcoat.
Sean laughed.
"Your help fixing Trisees of course," he grinned.
