Well wax my lip and call me grandma, Jay how could you?
<Snip>
"I'm saying, find yourself a new flyboy." he handed the wings to Kayn "I quit."
<end snip>
"You what?" Alota nearly screamed as Kayn told her that Jay had handed in his wings,
"He said he quit he didn't want to endanger anymore lives"
"But he's the person tha invented the CHrysler manouver"
"Your joking I never would have guessed" Kayn said sarcasticly, Alota glared at him for that remark. She huffed then asked
"Where did you see him last?"
"Down in parrotts"
"Was he drinking"
"Yup"
"Ah a plausible reason he must be drunk". Alota left the shared quarters and ran down to parrotts, zomming past officers galore. Running into parrotts she created a semi tornado as she raced to Jay who was sat nursing a drink talking to Owen. She quietly crept up and eaves dropped on the conversation,
"Jay what are you going to do now?" Owen asked showing concern to his friend,
"I dunno?" Jay sighed "flying was my life but I can't do it anymore"
"Well you could always come and work in here". Alota raced from the room straight down to the command deck and onto the communication consoule, breathing heavily from over exhersion she went over the comm,
"Can Lueitenant Commander Jay Chrysler please report to deck 16 information booth, that is all" she squeaked. Then ran down to the booth on deck 16 several decks below. A few of the officers on duty just watched her puzzled looks on their faces.
Jay turned up, but showed no sign of dissappointment or anything when Alota asked him,
"Jay do you have anything to tell me?"
"Yes, I'm going to sell the Phoenix and work in Parrotts",
"But Jay the Phoenix is your life, piloting is your life why are you giving it up?"
"Because" he said sternly, "I don't want to harm another person",
"Jay, Vannessa's death wasn't your fault, you shouldn't blame yourself"
"It was my fault"
"Ok Jay, I'll stand by you", Jay nodded then left,
'I'll make him come out of his depression, he'll regret selling the Phoenix but I have an idea' Alota thought watching the retreating back of her husband.
