pants. "Which Katrina are you asking for?" she asked in a scratchy voice from
crying. "I'm only one of two in your life."
"Katrina!" he repeated. "You're here." He stopped. "Are you really here, or
is this a dream?"
"I know I'm here," she said. "Thanks to Kayn. You should you should promote
him, when you get back to work."
"I'll remember that," he answered. "I'm glad you're here."
"I only came back to ask you one question," she started. "If the answer is
'Yes,' I leave and never come back. If it's 'No,' Dark Katrina hits the
highway, not me. And you have to answer truthfully."
"What's the question?"
She inhaled. "Is Dark Katrina the one you really want to be with forever?"
She waited patiently.
