Major Harris 'Pride before a fall'

******Vega 22********
Harris had left Jackson in charge of security aboard the
Blue Dwarf so that he could make his way through the
levels of Vegas 22. He had brought along Lloyd as a
guild since she was once stationed here when she was in
the military and so could show him the route to the
base's chief of security office.
After a while the two found the security office after
passing a number of marines that knew Lloyd and
called out. "Aye up Havoc." Havoc being the nickname
she gained due to her love of blowing things up. Like
usual Harris didn't bother to knock and just entered the
office. A man in a marine uniform and colonel pips
stood up from behind his desk and demanded. "Who
the hell are you!?"
"The name's Frank Harris." Harris told the colonel and
saw the look in the colonel's eye when he heard the
name.
"So you're the infamous 'Nutter' Harris I heard about."
The colonel looked to Lloyd. "And the throw out 'Havoc'
Lloyd too and what brings you to my office."
"I was asked to leave not thrown out!" Lloyd
commented.
"Bugs." Harris merely commented.
"Bugs?" The colonel asked.
"Bugs the size of a Blue Midget." Harris added.
"What's the matter, what some help with dealing with a
pest problem." The colonel said in a childish tone.
"Like hell we do!" Harris snarled.
"Ha." The colonel laughed. "The JMC security
department is nothing compared to the military core!"
"Oh really!" Harris snapped.
Lloyd began to backup towards the door sensing that a
fight was about to break out.
"My boys and girls could beat the crap out of your
security losers any day, any time!" The colonel said.
"Oh yea!" Harris snapped.
"Oh yea!" The colonel snapped in returned. "And just
to prove it we use the planet below to run excises to
train our marines. Two days to chose twenty of yours to
go against twenty of mine in a round of paint ball."
"You on!" Harris snarled.

Five minutes later
"What have you done?!" Lloyd asked Harris.
"Know your place ENSIGN!" Harris snapped. "No one
makes fun of the JMC security force! It's a matter of
pride."
"Oh hell." Lloyd commented. "Now what?"
"Will they cheat?" Harris enquired.
"Its' the motto of the Core. 'If you can't do the first
time then cheat down and dirty'." Lloyd answered.
"If they'll cheat so will we, but dirtier!" Harris said. "Go
back to the Dwarf and start recruiting and don't just limit
it just to security staff, make sure we have a engineer
or two. We'll also need to recruit the aid of the coms
and sensor departments so if the marines will be
tracking us, we'll be tracking them to even out the
balance. "
"Yes Gov." Lloyd said and then started back towards
the Blue Dwarf.
