3rd Shift.
Had to try to keep from grinning. She liked the
graveyard shift it went from quiet, which allowed for
reading, to insane which kept things from getting
boring.
She nodded, "Sure chief, I'll just use the time til
them to get sorted out shall I?".
Lt. Edwards nodded and Roskev left. She studied
manuals, took a nap and generally killed time until
her shift.
She entered the bridge and sat in the security
station, typed out a few orders and generally kept an
eye on things.
It went well except for this creepy engineer who
wouldn't stop trying to talk to her. She started
fiddling with her pistol and looked unstable as she
mumbled in a child like voice, "la la la la la...I
will eat your heart...".
She was then left alone to do her work in peace.
