Eve looked at Chris puzzled, "But the vender blew up!" "And I fixed it. But that doesn't matter. What really matters is that I'm getting to know you. I'd really like to get to know you better." Said Chris, getting that old nervous feeling again. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------  Eve was feeling very nervous and very shy herself, she tried to put the feeling away but it wasn't working, she hoped she wasn't looking stupid in front of Chris, she was still knew on board and hardly knew him, she didn't want to stuff anything up this early on. Eve took a sip of her drink, and looked at the mess on the floor, putting her glass on the coffee table she began to pick up her books, Chris being the gentlemen he is began to help, they finish at the same time, and as they were getting up they looked into each others eyes, Eve's cat eyes zoomed out to view his whole face, he was an extremely good looking boy, Chris' hand had moved towards Eve's he looked down as he took her hand in his, Chris looked up at Eve again,(This is it) Eve and Chris were both thinking at the same time.Their eyes were locked, their heads moved in closer, they were about to kiss, when.......The door slid open it was Tara, Eve jumped up nearly knocking Chris over, he stood up quickly too, Tara was too tired to tease,'How are the sweethearts?' She whispered'They are angels, i'd love to babysit again sometime. How was the party?''It was great, Now i see why Chris didn't show up,'Chris went red and looked at the floor'It's late, your welcome to stay on the couch for the rest of the night if you'd like''No thank-you, we're still wide awake, i'm going to show Eve around the ship' Chris said With that they left.Walking down the living quarters corridors Eve was very surprised at the ease in which she found her way back to her room, they went in and Eve left Chris in the front room which had some JMC furniture, but still was quite bare, it had that unlived in look and feel, as Eve went to her sleeping quarters and dumped her books in there.'Wow, you weren't joking when you said you just got in today!''Yes, it is a little bare, im going to go to the shops on my first free day''So what do you wanna do, stay here and watch a movie?' Chris said sitting down on the couchEve pulled him up,'No, your going to show me around!'Chris got up with a groan, he wasn't tired but Eve's couch was more inviting then a walk around Blue Dwarf.They walked down corridor after corridor, Eve trying to keep track of how to get back to her room, wasn't doing a very good job of it.Chris thought he'd try again to sit down and relax and so he had taken her in a kind of a circle and they were back outside of Eve's door.'I've had a really nice time' Eve was feeling a little awkward, she wasnt sure why Chris had brought her back here.But in the back of her mind she knew he was on the level and not up to anything, she took his hand,'I had a really nice time too' Chris' fingers finding there place between Eve's'I heard there is an AR on board, so if your not tired, and seeing as im not tired do you wanna go?''Sounds good.'
