Hazel Coffey sat in the middle of her quarters
surrounded by piles of clothing. Her problem with
deciding what to wear to the Halloween party wasn't so
much a lack of choice as an excess of choices.
There was the amphibian cat-suit (or rather
frog-suit), a mass of tarten and a sword from the
Queen Boudicca costume she wore a couple years ago,
the snake-skin jumpsuit, and several other costumes
from theatrical productions. She remembered the hours
she'd spent sewing on them and grinned.
Suddenly sighing, Coffey then remembered how much
Shakespeare loved to dress up in period costume, not
just for special occasions but everyday.
Thinking of William, however, she remembered a box in
the very back of the closet. After retreiving it, she
took a deep breath and opened it.
Pulling out a mass of black velvet embroidered with
gold thread and seed pearl beads, she hugged the heavy
dress and also pulled out the matching Rennaisance
hat. As she placed her.
Coffey was going to go as Anne Boleyn. Just dab some
red lipstick around her neck and the ensemble would be
perfect.
