Dirk's still here
OOC- been kinda too busy to post lately. trying to do it as often as
possible.

Dirk sat in his quarters pondering a very serious problem. He sat in
the chair looking across the table at the person facing him. The
trouble was that the person facing him was him. At least, it was his
alternate self from the other dimension. Since the two of them had
reunited back in the scientists quarters only a couple of hours after
being seperated in the cinema. They had missed everything that had
occured on the ship since then: the final battle, the wedding, and,
the most important event, the pillaging of the John Wayne films from
the cinema. They had spent all their time trying to figure out a way
to hide the fact that the alternate Dirk Bell was still onboard the
ship and now trapped in an alternate dimension to his.
"Maybe," the alternate Dirk(who will, from now on, be referred to as
D2) said, "we can try a disguise, for walking around the ship, until
I'm able to get off and go somewhere else."
"No," Dirk replied. "The people on this ship are just way too
curious. Put a giant telekinetic appendix, a mobile pink tree, or a 6
foot hampster in front of them; and they won't say a word. Put some
guy in a bag rug and phony mustache across a dimly lit room; and
they'll be asking for your life story in about 2 seconds."
D2 slouched back in his chair. "I guess our only option is to just go
out in shifts. One of us stays here while the other does whatever he
needs to do out there."
"Good idea," Dirk said while standing up. "I'll start off with the
first shift at Parrots. You can have the next shift, at work.
Later." He left his alternate self sitting alone in the room as he
walked to the bar to get plastered.
"This is a good idea," he thought to himself. "He can take all my
time in the lab working on all the useless projects that we're asked
to do while I spend my time working on the greatest invention that
mankind will ever see: socks that never fall down around your ankles.
Everyone should have an alternate dimension double."
