Niples "Who am I?"

Captain Seymour Niples + Blonde Katrina Swete
La Regal de Mackenzies
Despite some crazed crewmembers throwing a lot of food around the normally
quiet restaurant, Captain Niples and
the-girl-who-he-couldn't-work-out-ifshe-was-his-girlfriend had a good meal.
Katrina srroked his ankle with her foot under the table, and Seymour gladly
played along.
"One thing that really worries me." Said Seymour. "Is that I don't know who
I am anymore. Do I act like the old Captain Niples?"
"What are you talking about sweetie, you are Seymour Niples, you're not a
clone or anything." she paused. "You AREN'T a clone or anything are you?"
Seymour scratched his head and stroked his floppy hair. "I don't think so."
he said as a bakewell tart flew past his head. The food fight in the
restaurant continued. A nervous looking waiter quickly cleaned up their
corner, fearing the captain would take offence.
"But what I do mean is that I don't feel the same. What am I supposed to act
like? What are my hobbies? I am going to have to rediscover my entire life."
"So you want me to describe what you're like? Is that it?" Katrina asked.
"Yes, that would be very helpful please." Seymour smiled politely.
"Well.....Welll...You're...you're you!"
"Thank you dear, that's really helping."
Katrina gave him a small kick under the table for being cheeky. "Well, you
have very good taste." She said and hoped he'd like the compliment.
Seymour lo0oked down at the grey suit he was wearing. "Are you sure?"
"Well you seem to think so. You're into things like classical music and
opera. You seem to like things like erm... what's the word... 'fine art'."
"Really?" Said Seymour, sounding a little surprised. Katrina was very
worried that Seymour found anything surprising about his own life.
"So I'm a bit of a square then?" he said bluntly.
Katrina was taken aback by the brash question. "Ahh, erm. No, you're not
'square'."
"Boring then?"
She hesitated for half of a second and then said "I love you just the way
you are."
Seymour squinted. "Thanks, but you paused before you said it. You think I'm
boring don't you?"
"No of course not! I love your tastes and styles... it can just be a bit
much sometimes."
"Really? Like what?"
"Like getting up at 4 in the morning to listen to a rendition of the 1812
overture on Radio 3."
"So you want me to change?" Seymour probed, he wanted to know everyting
about his life and how he could make it better. And Katrina was feeling very
uncomfortable.
Aftera long pause she said. "You are who you are. And I think you should be
who you are." and before Seymour could mention that he diddn't actually know
who he was, she stood up.
"I think we should both get some rest. This is really confusing for me."
"You and me both!" said Seymour.
"I'll come by in the morning and I'll show you all of your old... all of
YOUR hobbies."
"Sounds like a good idea". Said Seymour, getting his coat. On the way out of
the door to the Promenade, Seymour went through first and let the door swing
straight into the girls face.
"You usually open the door for me Seymour!"
"Oh my god, I'm sorry. I think I've got a lot to learn about how I used to
be."
Katrina stormed off, leaving the captain to wonder who he could ask to get
to know himself better. He wondered what the crew felt about him, so he went
into Parrots intending to ask the average crewmen what he was like as a
captain. He just hoped they all liked him.
<<Over to anyone in Parotts!>>
OOC- I've sent a message to the yahoo support team about parotts, theres
nothing I can do about it at the moment so we'l just have to wait.
Due to our new domain name, we can now have e-mail forwarding addresses to
impress your friends with a fancy name. They'll be something like
"bloke@..." so if you want one just send me a message saying
what you want your e-mail name to be, (the bit before the @) and the e-mail
address you want it to point to. It doesn't have to be the address you use
for the BD if you dont want to.
