Phil was still laying on the medi-bed groaning..."Anybody got a spare head?"
Jay turned back to face the others.
"Vanessa, you sure you'll be ok piloting a shuttle?, stick to a starbug like you flew last time"
"I..should be ok..it does kinda run in the family.what with you and Kin...sorry"
Noone quite knew what she was going to say except Jay, but right now it wasnt important.
"Tara made a good point" Jay said..ignoring the fact that it was Keto who suggested it first.
"Discretion is the key, whatever happens, you gotta go solo."
Vanessa nodded.
"dont worry sis' I'll follow in the Phoenix, keeping outta sight, any trouble call me and...."
"UM...Lt..." Zodars voice was heard..
"About the Phoenix.."
".......................what about the phoenix.........."
"Roskev kind of....moved it to the spares bay"
Jay took a deep breath.
"...excuse me.."
"it was trashed...I mean its salvageble but ew e could use the..."
Zodar found a hand clasping his throat...
"Crewman...."
"..yes..Jay.."
"yes SIR!"
"sorry...yes...sir.."
"Please...retrieve my shuttle from the spares bay and REPIAR IT!"
"but..Ja..um.Sir..." Curse that whole rank thing..
"THATS AN ORDER CREWMAN!!!!"
everyone was stunned..Jay NEVER EVER pulled rank on anyone..least of all his friends..man he was pissed off, and to top it off he STILL had to help Kayn.
Zodar quickly scurried to the cargo bays.
Calmly Jay spun around to face his sister.
"Ok Vanessa...I'll be in the flight control room, talking you through it."
 
 
SHUTTLEBAY.
 
Vanessa was sat in the cockpit of a starbug filing her nails. "Ok sis, you ready?" Jays voice came over the comm
"Um...yes...er bye..i mean over.."
"Holly's gonna fly the shuttle on remote so you dont have to worry"
"YOU WHAT? I WOULDNT TRUST THAT...THAT...GAME BOY!!! WORK A LIGHTBULB!"
"Fair point but he's doing it, just make it look good to the Red Dwarf"
The starbug vibrated as the engines started.
"Hang on Vanny!" The flat tone of Hollys voice came over the speakers "Now..which way is up again?"
"That way Hol," she said pointin at the ceiling
"You sure? could have sworn it was more over there" he said looking towards what would have been his shoulder"
"JAY IF I DONT DIE,...YOU WILL WHEN I GET BACK!!!!" Vanessa yelled.
The 'bug lifted off the deckplates and glided out of the shuttlebay toward the Red Dwarf.
It wasnt long before she'd passed security and touched down in the Red Dwarf shuttlebay.
Loading her LA pistol and concealing it she walked down the gangplank, where she was greeted by EVil Kayn
"HEy baby..I missed you..." he said grabbing her by the waist.
"Vanessa began to panic..this replulsiv creature was....touching her...pushing him away she said.."Later...right now i need to see the prisoner, take me to their verison of you"
