RE: [JMC_Blue_Dwarf] Assault on shuttle bay 612

Who: Jay, Evil Vanessa, Zodar
What: Two spinning ships joined together heading for certain oblivion.
Where: The Phoenix
When: After Kayns squadron made it's move on the Red Dwarfian Space Eagles
Why: Because It's fun and we don't want to die.
 
 
"Ok Jay, we got her, now can we PLEASE go home?"

Jay tapped the controls to seal the hatch and disengage.
The hatch hissed shut, but the docking clamp that Vanessa had hit with the bullet was damaged, Jay couldn't disengage the two shuttles.
"Um...Chris"
"I don't like that 'Um'"
"I cant disengage."
Zodar had a feeling what he was going to say next was going to be worse
"The momentum of the Valkyrie is pulling us along, right into that sun" he said pointing out of the cockpit viewport
"I SHOULD be able to regain control again though,., AAAAGGGGGHHHHHH"
He doubled over clutching his chest wound. seconds later he passed out
 
Zodar had that urge again.... 
 
The panel to the docking clamps was damaged badly and needed repair before the two ships could break free of each other.
But on closer inspection of the panel, no amount of repairs would help in this situation.
He desperately searched the shuttle's supplies for an explosive of some sort.
After finding a detonation satchel, Zodar climbed into the Valkyrie to set the fuse.
"If it wont let go of us, we'll blow it up." Chris thought
The fuse was set for 30 seconds and Zodar made his way back to the Phoenix.
Dropping down into the cabin, Zodar noticed Vanessa waking up and also a LA Pistol on the floor so he rolled over, grabbed the gun off the floor and ended the roll standing up, looking over Vanessa, who'd gone for her gun.
The two immediately pointed their guns at each other, creating a difficult situation. Here they were, about to fly into a sun with an explosive set to go off in 20 seconds, no one flying the shuttle at all because the one person who could have saved them had passed out and now the two people who were conscious on this ship had a gun pointed to the other's head.

"I'm faster than you think." Said Vanessa
"I'm sure you are, but I think we'd all stand a better chance of survival if you piloted this thing out of here."
"Not a chance, not while I have you pinned here!" Vanessa shouted.
"Um, you might want to check on that." Said Zodar as he kicked her gun out of her hand. "I guess being knocked out slowed you down a bit..."Zodar motioned for her to take the controls. Reluctantly, she walked to the cockpit and sat down.
"Ok, here's the plan, forgive me if it's a little sketchy because I've only had a minute to think about it. I want you to do nothing until that bomb goes off in about 10 seconds time. When it does, turn us around and give us full thrusters out of here."
"You've planted a BOMB?!"
"On the other ship."
"On MY SHIP?!"
"Come on, there's nothing we can do to save it now."
"No, what I'm more worried about is the bomb ripping this ship apart too."
"I didn't think of that. I can't defuse it. No, it should be ok. The airlock should hold."
"Well it's too late now, you idiot."
"Jay's gonna kill me."
"What and take all the fun?"
"Screw you."
 The timer display that Zodar held displayed the amount of time left on the fuse.
"We have 10 seconds, Vanessa. Try not to let your concentration slip or I'll have to let my trigger finger slip."
The two waited patiently sat the timed clicked down the last few seconds.
As the bomb went off, the whole ship shook with an extreme force that destroyed the Valkyrie, but left the Phoenix free.
"Let's get out of here." Zodar said as Vanessa brought the shuttle out of it's loops
But instead of heading for Blue Dwarf, She headed for Red Dwarf.
"Oh no you don't." Said Zodar and pressed the barrel of the gun against her head. "Blue Dwarf. Now." He commanded.
Obediently, Vanessa turned the ship around and piloted the craft into the flight deck.
Once they had landed, Zodar walked Vanessa out at gunpoint so he could hand her over to someone.
The man who'd put him into a shuttle in the first place was there waiting.
With the new attitude of "I've been through enough shit today for you to make it any worse" Zodar walked up to the guy.
"Hi. I don't care what your name is, I don't care what your rank is and I don't care who you think I am. Seeing as you are so tough and respected, you can take this woman to the brig, wherever that may be. Now bugger off, and if you ever do something like that to me again, I will personally kick *your* ass."
Trembling slightly, the man managed to ask a question, "d..d..do what to you, Sir?"
"Just GO!" Zodar said impatiently before turning to board the shuttle again.
Inside the shuttle, Jay was slumped over one of the seats in the cockpit.
Zodar tried reviving him, "Jay...Jay...Can you hear me?" There was no response, "I'm gonna get you out of here."
Lifting Jay over his shoulders for a second time, Zodar exited the Phoenix and made his way to the Medibay to get Jay some help.
