Kayn didn't feel too happy that the evil version of himself could actually get dates
 
"Yes... Vanessa is just dying to meet you..."
"Vanessa... CHRYSLER?"
"Yes, you know, the one piloting my Valkyrie"
"You gave it to her?"
"It was a Valentine's present. I had to try and top the still twitching hand of the ex-captain she gave to me the year before"
 
Jay wasnt aware of the going's on inside Kayns shuttle, all he saw was Kayn suddenly breaking off from the battle and heading towards Red Dwarf.
"Bestrom?, what the hell are you doing?"
No response.
"BESTROM?"
Nothing.."Dammit how the hell did HE get to be in charge of the flight crew?"
Jays radio flickered into life, a familiar voice with an Australian accent came through
"Um..Jay..."
"WHAT?!" Jay snapped...a little pissed off.
"HOW ABOUT A LITTLE HELP!!!" Zodar screamed, panic setting in.
"AH...DAMMIT! hold on buddy."
The Phoenix looped and headed back towards Zodar's shuttle, gatling guns firing off another load.
The RD Valkyrie's engines burst into flames and the fighter spun out of control.
Jay brought the Phoenix to a halt alongside Zodars ship, docking with the older Midget. Zodar came through the hatch, sitting in the seat next to Jays.
He was pulled back into his seat as Jay suddenly slammed the ship into full throttle.
"What the hell are you doing?" Zodar asked, panicking slightly
"Im gonna save her life"
"WHAT?"
"she may be an evil double of the real Vanessa, but she's still my sister.."
The Valkyrie was spinning faster and faster out of control. Jay put the Phoenix into a deliberate spin, matching the speed and rotation of the Valkyrie, now the to each other, the ships were stationary, although to an outsider they were rolling on all axes. Miraculously Jay managed to dock with the enemy ship.
Pointing to the entry hatch and looking at Zodar he said "Go"
Zodar nodded, and climbed the ladder through the docking ring and into the Valkyrie. He was shot at the minute he poked his head up. Vanessa's bullet missed Zodar, but hit the docking clamp holding the ship's together. Chrysler lunged at Zodar, Chris threw himself off the ladder, as she dived at him, both of them falling through the docking hatch and into the cabin of the Phoenix. Vanessa knocking herslef out in the process.
"Ok Jay, we got her, noe can we PLEASE go home?"
Jay tapped the controls to seal the hatch and disengage.
The hatch hissed shut, but the docking clamp that Vanessa had hit with the bullet was damaged, Jay couldnt disengage the two shuttles.
"Um...Chris"
"I dont like that 'Um'"
"I cant disengage."
Zodar had a feeling what he was going to say next was going to be worse
"The momentum of the Valkyrie is pulling us along, right into that sun" he said pointing out of the cockpit viewport
"I SHOULD be able to regain control again though,., AAAAGGGGGHHHHHH"
He doubled over clutching his chest wound. seconds later he passed out
 
Zodar had that urge again....

Two blue blasts few from Zodar's ship, hitting Evil Vanessa's ship and resulting in minor damage.
The Valkyrie copy turned towards Zodar's ship and accelerated.
"Oh, no. SHE'S AFTER ME!"
Zodar turned the midget around, changed to reverse with a crunch of gears, then, with even more gear crunches, completed the three point turn and tried running.
He set the throttle to full, but almost fainted when the thrusters flooded with a spluttering sound.
"Um, Jay, Kayn, Anyone? A little help here..."

"Don't worry Zo..." Kayn replied as he shot the Valkyrie towards it's doppelganger. Kayn's Valkyrie expertly barrelrolled and took a few shots with the shotguns at some nearby space eagles, and it's pilot smiled as three of them crashed into each other - confused by the more maneouverable Valkyrie
 
Then something hit the side of the Valkyrie. Kayn looked, stunned at the sensor readings - no damage... nothing. He also noticed nothing was shooting at him.
 
"Kayn get back here. We need the support"
"In a second Chyrsler..."
 
Kayn stood up out of the seat of the Valkyrie, putting autopilot on, and looked for the thing that broke. Kayn reckoned it was a bit of computer that fell off, or maybe something clipped the wing. Everything was normal... except for the fact the airlock door was just closing again
 
Which meant something had come inside the ship... Kayn felt very afraid

Breathing only slightly the black suited assassin watched his prey walking about trying to find the source of the ship's breaking. Swiftly he leapt behind another set of computers. It was just like the one he gave his girlfriend - except there was a samurai sword collection in the corner he was croutching in, and a few shrunken heads were on the dashboard.
 
Slowly he reached to his side and drew his blade and pounced upwards, hanging above Kayn

Kayn looked up and saw a black suited seventeen year old assassin with bright red hair and a large samurai sword.
"I take it your the evil version of me?"
"Bingo..."

Two minutes later

Kayn woke up with a large scar running down his face and tied to a chair with sticky tape. His eyes were taped open. All he could see was the front of the Valkyrie. His captor was busy piloting the Valkyrie, flying it back to Red Dwarf
 
"What the..."
"Oh your awake. Couldn't have you asleep whilst I get my friends to torture you...""Why didn' t you just kill me?"
"Two reasons... The first is your too good looking to kill"
"Good... and the other"
"My girlfriend wants to see you...""Girlfriend?"
