The Tree stood, quietly dripping sap from its bullet-holes, for a
second, its attention apparently riveted on the scene as one of the
Phils dragged Tara away and out of view, while another stepped
forwards and held something up.
Now, the Tree, not being accustomed to human (or gelf, or any,
really) methods of warfare, had no true comprehension of a grenade.
It knew that the thing FeSod held resembled some sort of giant acorn,
and so couldn't quite work out why the strange uniformed people with
loud sticks seemed so scared of it...
Keto did, however, and fortunately for him his brain registered
this fact before he'd even taken three steps into the room.
"GRENADE!" he yelled, and immediately spun himself round behind the
Tree.
*Rustle?*
There was a clink as the grenade hit the floor...
