Phil strugled against his captors. Tara lay on the floor in pain. EJ raised the sword and was about to thrust it into Tara when it was shot out of his hand,

Evil Jay slowly turned to face the fool who had dared shoot at him, whoever it was was either brave or VERY VERY stupid.
The first thing he saw was the smoking barrel aimed directly at him.
"Back off" came the voice of the person who dared shoot him.
"YOU?!...but...I saw you die.."
Jay Chrysler stepped into the room. Holding an LA pistol.
"Go on Chrysler, kill me" said Evil Jay. "You'll only be killing part of yourself."
"Theres no way in hell you're a part of me..you.."
he was cut off "Why?..because im a killer?, because I kill to defend my crew, my friends..."
"you kill for fun, you're a cold blooded murderer,"
Evil Jay reached for his gun, Jay fired another shot.
"Let him go" he said gesturing towards Phil.
"you really think I'll listen to your demands? Kill me by all means, in case you handed noticed, theres a whole security force that would rip you to shreds the minute that bullet so much as touched my flesh"
"who says its for you?"
Jay aimed the gun at the control panel for the shuttlebay doors.
"one shot, those doors activate thier emergency override and open, killing every single one of you."
"You'd die too, along with these two" he said gesturing at Tara and Phil
"i'm willing to take that risk and i know that these two will be too to get rid of you and your army if it means saving this bucket of bolts"
"you havent got the balls"
"I'm you remember"
Evil jay lunged at Chrysler.
Jay swung around and unloaded a magazine full of bullets into his chest.
Evil Jay fell to the floor where he lay motionless.
The security team for Red Dwarf were astonished, not knowing what to do, Chrysler...was dead...did they really want to risk going up against they guy who killed him.
It was then that something happened that jay would regret for a long time, he hadnt even started to recover from his operation that had occured just hours ago. A violent agonising pain shot through him and he fell to the floor clutching his chest...
