OCC: Apologies for not posting this earlier. Unfortunately I won't be able to post for the next few weeks as I'm currently stuck in the busy period of revision before my end of year exams (Also the reason I haven't posted recently). I hope to be back soon when my workload lightens a little, but until then feel free to use Jo in your posts. I was shocked to hear about DJ and I send my condolences to her friends and family. I didn't know her personally but I liked her posts and the personality she contributed to BD. I think the Longwood Awards are a fantastic idea to commemorate her time with us. After graduating from the academy with top grades specializing in astronavigation, Joanne Peiades quickly worked her way through the ranks, serving with distinction on each mission. This record brought her to the attention of Commander Alexei Kachorikov, a scientist working on a secret new propulsion system for space travel. As his design was nearing test stages, he required crew to pilot the prototype, taking the best officers and scientists from the military to do the job. While previous testing had been uneventful, on its first human crewed run the Quasar 4 prototype vanished…along with its entire crew. An investigation has been commenced into its disappearance but has currently yielded no results. Some rumours circulating the military speculate that Captain Peiades deliberately altered the jump coordinates to steal the technology and sell it to a group of terrorists bent on the destruction of the Coca Cola Company, the patron of the Kachorikov’s Duality Drive Project.
