This really is truely sad news... And Unfortunately, this is the
*second* time such a thing has happened in my 21+ years of RPGing.
And just like the last time, I will always miss her participation as
we continue on.
And just like Kayn said in his post, this'll set me wondering about
things like this again. (Which seems to be fore front topic on my
mind this past month...) How would any of my online friends know if
something like this happened? And while I was fruitlessly trying to
think of a way to correct this problem, that I realised - we've all
probably have our share of close calls in life. So, there wasn't
really any solution to this problem, except blind luck or
circumstances.
(Unfortunately for me, a few of my close calls in life would've have
made some rather humorous entries in the Obit's (feel free to ask me
about some of them!) - Especially the time I was riding my pony, and
it decided it wanted to run back accross the street in front of a god
danged oncoming milk truck and nearly got both done in!)
But personally, I do know one thing after thinking about this over
the years, even if it shows up as a 'News of the Weird' headline in
the paper for everyone to read, I hope that *somebody I know online*
happens to find out when I buy it suddenly, and can inform everyone
about it, rather than have everyone think I was just a lazy bum and
thinking badly of me because I didn't bother returning their emails!
And in this case, that seems to have happened. Thanks for letting us
know, For DJ, Nicole. I think she would have appreciated it. And I
too hope, she's went to a better place!
