Striking a deal
Who: Cerebrum, Edwards
Where: Security office
> Edwards leaned forward and said. "Why be enemies when we can be
friends. I've seen your handy-work and I am impressed, be it a
little slow as someone's been there before you." Edwards mouth
curled into a grin. "I like you doctor, I like your style. What I
prepose is, let us work together and I'm sure we can cause some
trouble for sure."
"Well, you make a very attractive offer," Cerebrum said, "and I'm
certainly interested in it if it would stop security guards from
entering my office and hitting me repeatedly. So I do believe that I
will accept your offer."
As he talked, Cerebrum's mind was incorporating this new information.
With security no longer hostile, distribution problems would be
virtually eliminated. This would allow him to pull in more profit,
and let him construct bigger and more grandiose psychiatry devices.
Oh yes, he would also be able to treat more patients without
interruption, but that was just a minor point, and barely important
compared to building a meson cannon.
