Orders finished
Who: Cerebrum, Appendix, Smith and Smith
Where: Ex-meeting room
Cerebrum tapped in the final command on the computer, and sent off
the order. The computer beeped and then said, "Your account has been
billed 248,000.67 dollarpounds. Your account balance is now zero
dollarpounds. Your shipment will arrive in three weeks, give or take
a period of time yet to be determined. Have a nice day."
Cerebrum sat back in his chair, "Well, there it goes. I've ordered
everything in the Psychiatric Monthly's catalog."
[That's good, right?] the Appendix thought at him.
"Of course it's good," Cerebrum said, "Now I'll finally be able to
set up my psych-laboratory and experiment with psych-machines to cure
psych-patients."
The computer beeped again, "Attention. There has been a transfer from
your account. Zero dollarpounds were transfered from account 9832435,
to the security department's budget. The remaining balance is zero
dollarpounds. Have a nice day."
"Well, that's unusual, I guess Frank Haris was trying to go back on
his deal."
"Should Smith and I go beat some sense into him?" Smith-1 asked,
giving his usual solution to all problems.
"Don't bother. I've got enough problems already without upset
security offices beating me up. And besides, they haven't made a
stick big enough to beat sense into Frank Harris. That would require
nuclear weapons. Now, send in the next patient."
