'Sending sensor sweep results' said the computer screen display. An animated graphic showed that the file was being sent somewhere. Kayn tried to stop it by pressing all buttons at random.
"The captain's going to kill me if the Enirams mess up the computers, he likes two sugars..." he whined, but reading a small piece of text at the bottom of the screen calmed his nerves.
"User logged on: Dirk Bell" it said.
Kayn sighed in relief, it was only Dirk accessing the computers, not those slimy fishmen.

Kayn twiddled his thumbs again. He sighed and looked into the darkness of the drive room. It sure was lonely here all alone with only the huge fish outside the window for company. It was getting so quiet he was starting to hear his own heartbeat in stereo.
 
That wasn't his heartbeat... that was gunfire
 
The great scaly ones had moved up in the ship. That's all he needed! First the ship sank, then the Valkyrie was vivisected, now the fish men are taking over? He wasn't going to stand for this. He was acting captain of the ship!

Some of the security team were caught in crossfire trying to take down the fishmen as they climbed up through the ship. There was then a loud BING BONG as a tannoy rang out. Everything rested thier firing to listen to the message
 
"This is acting captain Kayn Bestrom. Please will you keep the noise of your pointless bloodshed to a minumum? Thankyou"
 
Everyone stood there blinking for a clear minute and then continued firing
 
"No respect..." Kayn complained as he slumped back in his chair in the drive room "No respect at all"
