T\'kha\'Bath
Who: Keto, Alota, Whole Lotta Eniram
Where: Submarine arriving at T'kha'bath (that IS how I spelt it...?)
When: When they arrive!
======================
> "No I'm doing my all time favourite thing"
> "What annoying the the hell out of me?"
> "You guessed it" Keto turned around to face one of the Eniram,
> "Please shut her up"
> "No her musical talents surpass us all."
"Then you are evidently tone-deaf, two-thumbed, talentless, and
STUPID!" said Keto, holding his head in his hands and trying to block
out another rousing chorus of "An Infinite Number of Replaceable
Bottles".
"When will this nightmare end?" he wondered aloud, and hardly
noticed the Eniram all standing up.
"Very shortly," said one of them, "We are about to arrive at
T'kha'bath."
"Thank God," murmured Keto fervently, as Alota stopped singing and
looked up, "By the way, I'm sure just ONE hostage would be
sufficient..."
The Eniram, ignoring him, stood up and walked towards the bridge*
of the submarine.
"If there's just going to be one hostage left, it's going to be
me!" said Alota, "I'll be sure to tell them to kill you first!"
"Just so long as I get to rest in peace!" retorted Keto, "Now shut
up! I'm trying to see!"
By craning his neck to extremes that would probably require some
kind of treatment later, Keto managed to peer ahead, to where the
Eniram were looking through a viewing port.
"What is it?" asked Alota, curiosity temporarily overcoming her
need to annoy Keto.
"I'd be able to concentrate better if you'd SHUT the HELL up!"
whispered Keto harshly, frowning as he tried to see.
Gradually, the thick blue ahead of the submarine faded, and Keto
was finally able to see where they were headed.
"My...God..." he murmured quietly.
"What? What is it?"
"It's...amazing..." answered Keto obliquely, staring at the vision
that formed ahead of them.
Beneath the submarine, directly ahead of the viewing port, lights
were shining. A hundred tubes, lit by phosphorescent bulbs, linked
domes that glistened with light refracted from the water that was
held back from them by some means Keto knew he wouldn't have a hope
in hell of guessing. Inside, he could just about make out dark
shapes moving about, walking along the tubes, mingling in the domes,
going about their daily war-time business.
T'kha'beth lay ahead of them.
"...there may be more Eniram than we had assumed," murmured Keto,
as the submarine slowed to a halt.
"Welcome," said one of the Eniram, entering the submarine as Alota
and Keto were roughly dragged to their feet, "To T'kha'beth."

OOC: Ever see Star Wars Episode I? Think like that. If you haven't
seen it, or have no idea what I'm talking about, I'm afraid my
writing will have to suffice for a first glimpse. ;)
