**Action** "Destiny"
On the planet Ffion
 
*****The first Starbug with Nik and Drusilla*****
 
"Where are they?" wondered Nik (still sat on the celing).
Drusilla walked into the room and yawned after just resting for a few hours.
"Erm, Nik why are you on the roof?"
Nik looked around, "Thats a very good point." he said, and as soon as he remembered the laws of gravity he remembered he was supposed to plummet to the ground at this point. And he did.
Drusilla ran her hand through her hair. "What is that noise? It's like a grating, chewing sound."
 
With mild uninterest, Nik shrugged towards the window. "it's the huge bug that's eating the Starbug while we're inside."
"Oh right....." said Drusilla.
 
There was an even larger crunching sound and the whole back end of the Starbug was ripped off, throwing Drusilla forward and landing on Nik.
"I think it's time we got out of here" they both chorused.
 
The two of them jumped out of the murky green spacecraft and landed on the hard, cracked desert floor. With the sun just setting on the horizon, the huge silouette of the insect could be made out with the light behind its back. The insect turned its attention away from ripping the metal from the Starbug and looked at the tasty morsels from inside.
"Run!" shouted Nik as the large beast stomped after them.
 
The creature was large and moved slowly, but its huge legs let it travel huge distances, it was right behind them.
"It's gaining!" squeeked Drusilla.
"Your a security officer, can't you shoot it?" asked Nik.
"I left my gun inside" she said apologetically.
 
 
*****Near the Blue Dwarf*****
The huge alien mothership shimmered and faded in and out of existence with a silent scream, before being beamed into the centre of the previous paradise planet Ffion.
 
 
*****Nik and Drusilla*****
The huge monster reared its head, ready to close its sharp jaws on the two humans, but instead flopped to the ground with goo oozing out of its mouth.
"Is it dead?" Asked Drusilla, but Nik never answered her question as the ground started to shake. Red hot magma spewed up from the ground, in some places the pressure causing it to geyser in tall columns.
Nik and Drusilla legged it.
 
 
*****Cmdr Niples group on other Starbug*****
 
Niples almost drooled as he saw Private Penny Lloyd come out of the shower wearing nothing but a towel. Science officer Phil Debuggure had to close his mouth for him, making a tutting sound as he did so.
 
Some time later, the crew were just wondering what was taking Doom, Efof, Johnson and Nurse Coffey so long when a breathless Nik Florentyn and Drusilla Belladonna knocked on the Starbug hatch door.
They barely had time to say:
"Bug....Eat....Starbug.....Bug die....ground erupt....red hot lava..."
 
Before the ground started cracking into small plates floating on rising magma.
The sun had set completely now, but light from the glowing lava started to light the landscape once more, giving it an ominous red colour. Nik and Drusilla climbed aboard while Kayn quickly got to the piloting controls of the Starbug and took off.
 
The ground plate below them cracked and melted into the heating magma.
"Shall we head back to the Blue Dwarf?" asked Kayn quickly, using a mixture of skill and luck to avoid columns of lava being spewed into the air. (Let's say the mixture was 1.000002% skill.)
 
"No," shouted Commander Niples over the din of the cracking landscape. "We can't leave without Doom and Johnson's group!"
 
Scientist and inventor Phil looked at the readings on the Starbugs sensors, but it didn't tell him anything more useful than looking out of the window.
The lava rose, covering the entire area with lava like a glowing red lake. (sorry, I can't think of any good metaphors at the moment! Feel free to fill this in yourselves)
 
"Its no good, theres no one left alive down there..." growled Harris, looking at the bodies of hundreds of bugs burning like (fill in with another good metaphor!)
 
Niples sighed. He never did get to know who that man with too many arms and a strange trunk on his head was.
"ok," he said "take us home."
 
"You mean back to the heap of junk in orbit, sir?" said Kayn.
"Yes ensign, I meant the Blue Dwarf."
"just checking sir" smiled Kayn and pulled the Starbug upwards towards the sky.
A fountain of lava chased them, but the Starbug spiraled out of harms way, heading to the dull blue star in the distance.
 
*****A few minutes ago on the Blue Dwarf*****
Captain's office
 
Captain Cannon looked over his new e-mails. More crewmembers wanted to join, or more likely- were being forced to join as part of the JMC's equal opportunity placement for starships.
 
The space in his office shimmered and suddenly four figures appeared.
One was a nearly normal looking officer with the nametag "Johnson", one was a shifty bloke wearing a long robe, one was a rather attractive female wearing a dirty nurse's outfit, and the other was a man/person/thing with 4 arms and something on his head.
 
"And who may I ask are you?" he asked the nurse. Then he looked at the other men "What are you lot waiting for? Clear off now!"
 
The one remaining Starbug eventually docked with it's home ship. The JMC Blue Dwarf.
 
Behind them, the once proud, once beautiful, once near-paradise planet Ffion eventually realised how cruel the galaxy was.
It blew up.
