OOC- Recent events

Hi Crew,
 
I'm back from my holiday now, which was fantastic!
But there was one thing that stayed in the back of my mind nearly all of the week, I had only been there for a day when I got a text message to my phone from Jay saying that there'd been a big argument and a poll created in Parotts bar about Dave Innes/Stewie Mackenzie.
 
Frankly I am disapointed that this happened, Dave is a good writer and I'm sad to see that he was practically forced out of the group. The poll must have been very insulting and embarassing for him, and above everything else I want to keep a friendly imformal atmosphere on the BD and in Parrotts where everyone can have fun and enjoy themselves. Most of all, I want everyone to get along. I know this is not always possible because some personalities naturally clash, but a line must be drawn at directly insulting a fellow member.
 
I regret that I wasn't available to help sort out these problems, as i would definately have preferred people to let me know that they had a problem with Dave so that I could have told him that certain things he had said were causing friction with other members. And the same applies for the other side of the argument.
 
I am not surprised that Dave quit, the way he was treated. And I don't expect he will be in any hurry to come back now either, even though I would be willing to allow him back into the group at any time- providing that he and everyone else behaved themselves and don't provoke arguments!
 
If anyone has any problems in the future, come to either me, harris or Whitewolf, who are the moderators of BD and PB.
