RE: [JMC_Blue_Dwarf] Niples + Katrina \"Top class\"
OOC-Sorry this is a bit late, but my computer was down again.
>"I wonder how much of this planet is water?" voiced Seymour.
>"You're the starship captain..." said Katrina.
>"Yes, I know. But even I dont know everything!" they chuckled at that.
>"So, we dont know where we are. We dont know how we're going to get back, and
we dont know if the ship will survive- or it will sink to the bottom of the
ocean?" Katrina asked.
>"Something like that." Seymour hoped this discussion wouldn't sour the mood. He
held her closer to him. After a moments though he spoke, with an uncertainty in
his voice.
>"If...if we can't get the ship back through the gate...do...would... do you
want to stay here and settle down.....maybe raise a family?"
>Katrina was shocked by the question.
>"here...now?! On this planet? Settle down?" it was as if she was learning the
English language again just to translate every word individually.
>"i'm sorry, it was a silly question. I didn't want to put pressure on you,
forget I said anything" Said Seymour, hoping this wouldn't scare her off. He
knew he was being forward.
>"..A family?"
Seymour continued to hold her as she got over the initial shock of the question.
Katrina stared out over the water, unsure what to say or how to say it.
"You know, that sounded almost like a marriage proposal," she finally spoke up.
"It did?"
She nodded. "The whole family thing comes with marriage, usually. Not all the
time anymore, but usually."
Seymour nodded that time. "I guess you're right, Katrina."
She kissed his forehead. "I would love to talk marriage with you, but I don't
think now's a good time," she said. She stopped, thinking over her last
sentence. "No, actually, if there's one thing I've learned since getting on this
ship, it's that there's never a right time for anything around here. One
adventure after another, no relax time in between."
"I don't understand."
Katrina snuggled closer to him. "I'm just saying that I actually think now is a
good time. I know that the ship might sink any moment, but atleast we'll sink
together."
The captain frowned. "That isn't exactly how I envisioned our time ending."
"But it could." She smiled, showing she was only half-serious. "So, just incase
we don't even get another moment like this, I'll talk about it now. I would love
a family with you, married or living in sin. If there's land here, settling down
sounds like a terrific idea, Seymour." She ran her fingers through his hair.
"But there is just one thing."
"Anything."
"I want atleast one son," she announced.
He smiled. "You can't pick that, you know. That's nature's decision."
She kissed him again. "Then we'll just have to keep trying until we do." She bit
her bottom lip. "Actually, there is just one other thing..."
"Yes?"
She brought her lips close to his ear. "Sitting in a Swiss Bank account right
now is the one million dollars I recieved after my brother's death."
<Go ahead Captain, react. I know you're on vacation, but I think this moment can
wait until you're back.>
