Site Medic
Who: Keto, and assorted (look, I'm not typing it all again!) :P
Where: Medibay and
When: After Keto Becomes Human (or as human as ever) Again
=============================
Keto, after several attempts, managed to get the lipstick off his
face.
"Never," he said, waving an angry finger in Tara's direction, "Do
something like that again! Do you know what it feels like being a
cold-blooded creature?"
There was a muttered comment from one of the injured security
guards.
"I heard that!" snapped Keto, not turning around, "And, Miss
Cleavage, I'd have more to say to you if I didn't have more important
fish to brutally massacre over a hot stove..."
With that, he turned and faced the overturned bunk.
"Miss Wildflower," he said, a smile slowly growing over his
face, "Would you come out here, please?"
Warily, Wildflower peered over the top of the bunk up at Keto.
"Now then, Jenny," said Keto, making Wildflower instantly
worried, "Jay Chrysler came in here and asked for a site medic,
didn't he?"
"Yeeees..." said Wildflower, not seeing where all this was leading.
"And he particularly wanted it to be you, didn't he?"
"Yes..." replied Wildflower.
"Would you like to go and help Mr Chrysler?" asked Keto,
suppressing the twinge of pain he felt at referring to Jay as a 'Mr'.
"Yes..." nodded Wildflower, not looking too hopeful. She knew all
too well what was going to happen.
She wasn't disappointed.
"I bet you would!" crowed Keto, "You know, you and that pathetic
excuse for a contribution to the gene pool are the perfect match!
One without any brains, and the other...no, actually, I stand
corrected, BOTH without any brains!"
"You know that I'm going out with the smartest and best-looking
pilot there is!" said Wildflower defiantly.
Keto laughed. "So you're cheating on him, then? It seems you do
have some sense after all!"
Wildflower gave Keto a look that has so sharp it should have cut a
hole in the hull.
"Well," continued Keto, ignoring the glare, "I'm entirely pleased
to say that you will not be joining your fly-boy on the outside of
this ship because, despite the fact it would give me great pleasure
to see you leave, I want to see his face when it turns out that his
site medic is me, and not the shallow excuse for a human being he
desired!"
So saying, Keto turned on his heel and, still laughing, walked out
and headed towards where Jay and the others were busy trying to patch
up the hull.
Back in the medibay, Wildflower sighed sadly.
"He likes to hear himself talk a lot, doesn't he?" observed Alota.
Wildflower nodded, then shrugged and said, "Well, I don't care what
he says - I'm a trainee surgeon, not a nurse, and so I don't have
to..."
There was a cough from Coffey.
"Sorry Jenny," she said, "But look at this place..."
Wildflower followed her gaze. The medibay was still filling up
with a steady flow of injured repair workers.
"We need all the help we can get," sighed Coffey, bandaging another
injury and waving in the next patient, "Sorry, but we need you here."
Wildflower sighed.
"No problem," she said, and took a seat dejectedly.
"Next!"

OOC: I know, I know, I've posted twice in a row, so sue me (not
literally, I have no money!) :) Jay, how exactly WOULD you react?
I can take a wild guess at several possible options, and none of them
are pleasant...
