After the meeting
Who: Cerebrum, Appendix
Where: Psychiatric offices, or a small lake
When: Read the title
Cerebrum was wading towards his desk, which was unusual, as wading
was not a common method of moving across an office. However, some
(well, a lot) of water had gotten into his offices and he was now
waist deep in it.
"I hate this, you know," he told the Appendix, who was on top of its
desk, "I really hate this. Did I tell you that I hate this?"
[Yes, for the fifteenth time. I get the point. You don't like having
water waist deep in the psychiatric offices.]
"Good, now, where are all my psychiatric books? I'd better get them
somewhere safe before the water rises."
[There's a problem with that.]
"What'd you mean, a problem?"
[Well, the shelf kind of fell over. And your books went in the water.]
Stay calm, Cerebrum thought as he sat on top of his desk. "Once I
find out who's responsible for this, I'm going to murder him slowly
and painfully," so much for calm.
[What now?]
"Get ready to abandon ship. The captain, for God knows what reason,
is having Trisees figure out a why to keep the ship from sinking.
After talking with him, I figure we've got four hours before we hit
the ocean floor."
