When-Just after the crash
Katrina Swete looked out the window in her quarters. She saw blue. Water.
The cleaner frowned deeply. Katrina hated water. Unless it was a bath or shower,
(or in some rare cases a clean swimming pool,) she hated it worse than anything.
It was more dangerous than wind or fire. Earth's scientists knew more about
space than they knew about the deepest parts of the ocean.
PITA jumped up to the window and started licking the glass.
Katrina picked her cat up and held him tight. "No, that's not to drink, cutie."
She sighed sadly. "But we will be inhaling it if we don't get out of this ocean
soon."
PITA gave her a look as if to say "I'm a cat. I don't understand a word you're
saying, so quit talking, will ya?"
She placed her cat on the bed and left her quarters.

Where-The promenade
When-Sometime later (I really should get a watch)
Katrina looked over the promenade. It was a disaster area.
I'll be cleaning it soon enough, she thought plainly. Hey look, the McDonald's
is still open. Does that wonderful place ever close?
She saw Stewie McKenzie. He was looking good. Smiling and talking to people that
seemed to be in a panic.
How sweet of him, she continued thinking. I better go see Seymour.
