**Action** "Disasters part 2"

Where: Unknown
The sea washed up onto the gravelly beach at the bottom of a tall
cliff face, the rippling water reflected the purples of this planet's
sky. Small birds, unlike anything ever seen in the western spiral-arm
of the galaxy floated on the sea breeze, some of them dived into the
water to catch food, some of them flew higher to explore the tall
cliffs.
One adventurous bird flew all the way to the top of this particular
cliff, which at the top flattened off like a tall plateou. There was
an object on top of the cliff, the bird flew closer to see. It was a
huge construction, many million of times taller and wider than the
small flying creature. The object was a sturdy ring held in place by
hefty support struts which started vibrating as the bird got closer.
The vibrations made the entire cliff face rattle, sand and dirt
tumbled into the sea below.
Suddenly, the circle sprung to life, an energy field rippled its way
to the centre of the circle like the reverse of a stone being thrown
into the pond. The energy wave met itself in the centre of the hoop
and started swirling like a glowing whirlpool. The bird was now
startled and started to fly in the opposite direction, but tyhere was
something coming towards him, it was large, as large as the hoop and
it was blue.
The nose of the Blue Dwarf emerged through the gate; Jay tried to
keep the ship straight with his eyes closed. As they had gone through
the gate the ship had been overcome with a blinding white light, that
light now subsided and ervryone onboard could now see again.
"Where are we?" asked Captain Niples, picking himself up off the
floor. Alotta pulled herself up and looked at the sensor screen, it
was blank. "I…don't know sir." She said.
Jay's navigation screen was also on the blink, it flickered on and it
took a few seconds for the navigation officer to realise what the
picture on the screen was.
The captain looked out of the Drive-room's window.
"Good grief!!" he said. "We've come out in a planet's atmosphere!"
When the 5 mile long mining ship was fully out of the circular gate,
it lurched downwards, gravity taking effect to bring them crashing to
the ground.
The tansion on in the drive room was mounted at full tension scale,
everyone on the ship who could see out of the window could see that
if they crashed, they would most likely die.
"Can we get more altitude and get into orbit?" asked Seymour
hopefully. Jay looked at him as he struggled to pull the huge
starship out of a nose dive.
"This is a five-mile long starship. Do you know how heavy this is?"
Efof, who was previously crouched in a corner sobbing away got up and
started yelling, "We're all going to die, we're going to crash and
burn!!"
He started running off down a corridor yelling, so Major Harris had
to give chase and rugby-tackle him.
The Blue Dwarf was now in a dive, falling faster and faster. A big
ocean loomed in front of them, despite water being softer than
ground, it would still be like hitting concrete with a ship this big
and heavy.
As the floor tilted one way, everything on the ship slid to the front
end. The huge ship creaked, mass panic spread.
Alotta did the only thing she could. She tuned in to a shipwide
frequency and annouced through her microphone. "Attention, attention,
everybody hold on to something and be prepared for a crash landing."
Then she added for an after-thought. "But there's nothing to be
alarmed about, at least some of us should survive….."
The sea got closer and closer, Jay managed to get the nose upright
just in time and the flat underbelly of the ship skidded across the
water sending a wall of water spraying out on front of the crashing
mass. The hole made in the engineering section was torn larger as the
huge ship moved over the water like an egg over sandpaper. The impact
threw everyone off of their feet and many walls broke and buckled
under the force.
Down in the engineering deck, water spurted through the holes at high
speed, knocking a few engineers out cold. The decks started filling
with water, causing electrical sparks and waterlogging most equipment.
The Blue Dwarf finally stopped moving forward along the water, it
lurched backwards as it did so, but them lurched too far the other
way.
"We're sinking!" screamed Alotta, now getting up from her
communication console.
"Have we got enough engine power to get out?" asked Niples.
Jay tried engaging the engines. "They're all offline, I doubt we'll
be going anywhere for a while. I know it's a bad pun, but we're dead
in the water."
***In the engine room***
Katy Roskev was up to her waist in water, so were the engines. There
was a huge rip in the wall that was letting gallons of water pour
into this room.
"Okay everyone get out!" she shouted to the engineers who were wading
around the room. "As soon as we evacuate this section the sooner we
can make it watertight."
They left this engine room and slammed the huge industrial metal door
shut, locking it closed.
"I want every hole in the ship plugged to stop the water from getting
in. If it's bad like this one, then close off the entire section."
Roskev ordered the engineers which were looking to her for guidance.
The ship lurched again and the metal struts groaned and
creaked. "Hurry up!" she shouted, everyone went about their business.
***Promenade***
Captain Niples walked down to the promenade. Destruction was
everywhere. A couple of chairs had slid and smashed the windows to
Mackenzies, and MacDonalds was looking pretty shabby again. The
entire walkway was sliding down to the back end of the ship as the
ship slipped down into the ocean. Seymour imagined the front end of
the ship sticking up above the water as the back sections filled with
water, titanic-style.
"What's happening Captain?" asked a voice. It was Stewie Mackenzie
who was trying to stop all of the stock of Mackenzies from sliding
down to the end of the promenade.
"We're sinking into an ocean." Said Niples, distractedly.
"Oh dear…"
An idea came to the Captain. "I know what Stewie, there's going to be
a lot of people panicking so can you try and cheer people up?"
"Like a morale officer?"
"Something like that. Find Cerebrum too, he seems to be good with
people. He is a psychiatrist after all." With that, the captain left
Stewie in the hysteria that was the Promenade.
***Starbug***
Kayn, Mike, Dirk, WW and Allie.
From the Starbug they saw it all, the huge blue land-mass they had
called their home plunged into an ocean. Now they hovered overhead
and watched as it slowly bobbed in the water. The hull creaked from
the pressure, they could hear that even from the distance they were
away, and could see bubbles rising from around the ship where air was
being lost. And when the air is lost, there would be no pressure to
keep the ship afloat.
"So… erm. What do we do now?" asked Mike.
"We'll have to go dock with the ship and help them" said the giant
hamster first-officer.
But before Kayn could steer in the direction of the nearest water
filled landing bay, their Starbug was suddenly jolted.
"What the frell was that?" shouted Allie.
Kayn took his hands off the controls of the small shuttle and they
moved, seeminngly by the shuttle's own accord. But as Kayn and Mike
looked up they could see something that wasn't there before.
"Something has grabbed us….." said Kayn.
"Another ship?"
"I think so."
The ship was jolted again and the small shuttle was flown to the
nearest outcropping of rock that stood out of the water like an
imposing cliff face that withheld natural erosion just by looking so
damned scary.
A thunderbird-style door opened in the cliff face and allowed them to
fly through, landing on a smooth shiny hangerbay floor.
The Starbug door was burst open and two figures barged in. They were
human, or at least human-like from first glance. But they were
wearing hats with majestic swept-back wings on them.
"Who are you?" asked Whitewolf, standing in front of his crew.
The two muscly figures looked at each other.
"We represent the Aeron Kingdom. You are Eniram, so you are our
enemy."
<OOC- Whitewolf's group can continue this, everyone stay together to
stop it from getting confusing.>
***Blue Dwarf***
The Meeting room
Captain Niples had rounded up everyone he could and got them into the
meeting room. He quickly briefed them on their current situation.
"So we're on an unknown planet. In an unknown part of the universe…
that is assuming we're still in the same universe and also not in a
parallel dimension…. And we're sinking. So has anyone got any
suggestions?"
<OOC- Can everyone please write about their character giving
suggestions if they have any. Please don't write about acting any of
the suggestions out just yet. Mainly everyone can write about what
happened during the crash, hoiw it has effected everyone and how
we're going to make the ship float. Lets not worry too much about
getting home just yet, first things first! And everyone on the BD
shouldn't know anything about the Aerons till later. There should be
anough here though, have fun everyone!>
