Grinding the Gears
Zodar walked around his room. It was funny, being 20 didn't feel much
different to being 17. Maybe that was just because he was a 17-year-
old in a 20-year-old's body. But it was his body all along, so it
couldn't be much different. The only thing that had changed was his
appearance.
He now looked, well, older and, well, a lot less younger.
His height was still the same, maybe a bit taller. His weight was the
same and his hair colour had darkened slightly.
But it was still him. Heck, in 3 years he'd look like this anyway.
Think of it as pressing fast forward on a video that only get's
interesting at the end...
Chris pictured visiting his Aunt, with images of her saying stupid
stereotypical things like "Ooh, you've grown so much since I last saw
you..." Which would be quite true as the case may be, seeing as he
saw her earlier this year...
Other thoughts crossed Zodar's mind. The thought of him accidentally
getting Tara in trouble... The thought of being recorded during the
night, growing and growing... He must have put on some freak show
while he was asleep...
The cogs turned in Zodar's brain.
...
It's a pity that age hadn't made his brain any larger...
"Hang on," He said, "If those specific effects of that ointment
haven't yet been documented or even observed, Tara may be commended
for her research! Big Brother would have data cubes with recordings
on them of my transformation on them. He'd also have the
environmental conditions and recordings of all the events that lead
up to it! I've got to tell Tara!!!"
And he ran out of the room to find her and tell her the good news.
Ooc:
Zodar's a smart lad now, isn't he?
Oh yeah. I'm sorry for re-introducing the Batman-esque end
narration... It won't happen again from me...
