After Harris left, Cerebrum compared the account information that
Harris had given him, and the monthly budget that Captain Niples had
given him. It was sort of like comparing a fifteen floor hotel to a
bed and breakfast.
"Now, to solve the biggest problem," he told the Appendix.
[Which would be?]
"Purchasing equipment with the money I got from Harris so that it
looks like I'm staying within the confines of this budget that I got
from the Captain."
[Why bother?]
"Because if the Captain finds out that I have access to other sources
of money, he won't bother increasing my budget in six months."
[But we already have enough money, why should we cover it up?]
"There is no such thing as enough money. What will we do when the
money runs out? We have to be prepared for anything."
[If you say so.]
"Good, now, where did I leave that magazine? I need to place a lot of
orders."
